Second Chance Amish Bride by Marta Perry: Jessie is a young Amish woman who visits the town of Lost Creek to help care for her late cousin’s young children while their father, Caleb, recovers from a broken leg. Jessie feels a huge sense of responsibility toward her cousin’s children, as Jessie […]
A Groom For Ruby by Emma Miller was such a delightful story! A true “opposites attract” kind of love story, set in Delaware’s “Amish country”- a fictional setting of Seven Poplars. I love how Emma Miller weaves together characters from her “Hannah’s Daughters” series with her “Amish Matchmaker” series for […]
Plain Retribution by Dana R. Lynn is a very well written combination of Amish fiction and suspense, and also touches a personal chord in a way- as the main character, Rebecca, is deaf. While I am not deaf, I do have some hearing loss as does my husband. He relies […]
The Twins Family Wish by Lois Richer is a true “feel good” story that really lifts the readers’ spirits. And, it is also an opportunity for readers to re visit the very special setting of Wrangler’s Ranch, a place that is aimed at helping children in need, in a family […]
Lancaster County Reckoning by Kit Wilkinson: I always enjoy the combination of Amish fiction with suspense! Lancaster County Reckoning is a good example of well written suspense set in a Plain community. Amish farmer Thomas Nolt meets “English” Darcy when he goes to visit his neighbor, elderly Jesse-
A Secret Amish Love: Rebecca Kertz is consistent in writing beautiful stories about family and romance set within Amish communities, and A Secret Amish Love continues this success. A Secret Amish Love takes place in “Happiness”, Pennsylvania, a fictional Amish town that is modeled on many Lancaster County
The Nanny Bargain by Glynna Kaye: This was not an easy book to “get into”, as it was slow in parts. Unfortunately as it did not “grab” me within the first few chapters, I had to be patient and find ways to become attached to the characters and their relationships.
Their Surprise Daddy by Ruth Logan Herneis such an enjoyable read, including the opportunity to read once again about the Gallagher family, about whom I read in other Love Inspired books. They are such a close loving, fun loving and tight knit family.
The Bachelor’s Twins by Kathryn Springer was a truly sweet story, starting with the unwilling reunion of two high school classmates. Anna Leighton had returned to her hometown with her young twin daughters, widowed by the town’s favored football hero.
Amish Refuge by Debby Giusti certainly lives up to the “suspense” genre, as it kept me up a good part of the night reading! I could not and did not want to put it down! Already I am curious about the next book in the series.
