  1. Trudy Dowling

Jude for Within These Walls by J.L. Berg. He was willing to do anything in put a smile on Lailah’s face and help save her life. Including returning to a job he hated and avoided for years.

  2. kateivan

Jack Hamilton from Alice Clayton’s “Redhead” series because (a) actor but not an a-hole, (b) British, and (c) cougar bait. I really enjoyed how his relationship with Grace Sheridan developed!

  3. mrsmac19

Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward was one of my favorite books of 2014. It was interesting to experience Elec from different POVs, etc. Slightly taboo subject, but not too bad.

  4. belindaegreen

You asked Who tops your Favorite book Boyfriend of 2014 list? And Why? ( Please include name of the book, so the rest of us can check him out)

I can’t choose just one. However, I will say that my favorites so far are the Coleman brothers in the Six Pack Ranch series by Vivian Arend. I love this series! The stories are compelling, engaging, and touch the heart but is still a good cowboy theme. The series will be one that goes on my a re-read list. I highly recommend the series. You will fall in love with the Coleman boys!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

    Belinda G

  5. Marianne W

I just discovered the In Death Series by JD Robb. Yes, I’m late coming to the party! I’m sooooooo in love with Roarke.

  6. Maureen

Devin McClain from Hillbilly Rockstar because he goes from being a bit of a jerk to a hero who doesn’t give up on his heroine.

  7. katielowden

My top book boyfriend would be Camfen McQueen from Sins and Needles- karina Hall. He’s hot and tatted and a little nerdy! He willing to help and risk his life!! 🙂

  8. Heidi D

I just finished Amour Amour by Krista and Becca Ritchie and, though I wasn’t expecting much, I ended up really enjoying it. It’s the first book I’ve read by the authors, so I went into the book with a lot of trepidation. However, Nikolai stole my heart. He’s only twenty-six, but he’s incredibly mature. He took on the responsibility of raising his siblings and takes it seriously. He’s definitely an alpha, but he isn’t controlling of the heroine. He’s supportive of her dreams and pushes her to achieve them. He doesn’t hold her back, even if it means he may end up losing he in the end. He’s protective and selfless of not only the heroine, but of his family as well. He’s just an all-around good guy. You can’t help but like him.

  9. laurieg72

Bundle 2 would be my favorite! Love historical romances

My favorite boyfriend for 2014 would be Marcus Sullivan in FROM THIS MOMENT ON by Bella Andre. Love his protective instincts towards his family and his superstar wife. He’s willing to share his time and follow her dreams. He’s running a winery. It sounds like a beautiful place to live and to raise a family. He’s hard working, responsible and passionate about the things and people he loves.

  10. Kim R.

They all are great BBF. If only one, I’d go with Abe from Susan Stoker’s Protecting Alabama. While he screwed up he made things right.

  11. Kristy dean

I love Gideon from the crossfire series, Neil from the boss, Shea from taking shots.

  12. Michelle Harlan

Please tell me I’m not the only one that struggles with “favorite”. I feel like I’m going to hurt my bbf’s feelings if I leave one out. lol
Wrath, from J.R. Ward’s The King is going to get top honors from me. Why? Because he’s WRATH…and he’s the KING! He’s broody & sexy, and Beth owns him. I fell in love with the series because of his romance with Beth in the first book. I continue to adore him (and yes, Beth too), love the series, and can’t wait for more!

  13. Casie Boland

my BBF right now is Jeremy Rixey from Laura Kaye’s Hard Ink series. he just seems like an all around nice guy, plus he does tattoos’ 😉

  14. Cathy P

I am fickle. I like whichever hero I am reading about. My all time favorite would be Rhett Butler from Gone With the Wind. He was a scoundrel with a heart of gold.

  15. Cathy P

Oops! You said 2014. I guess my favorite hero from 2014 would be Dominic Castillo from Tawny Weber’s A SEAL’s Fantasy. He is a macho SEAL with an assignment to take care of a captured comrade’s sister and she doesn’t want to be looked after and keeps running away from him.

  16. Kathleen O

Sheriff Sawyer Thompson from Jill Shalvis Head over Heels and Merry Christmas, Baby.. He was a tough cookie who fell in love with a wild child… He tried to tame her, but she tamed him instead…

  17. Pennie M

This is a hard question since I change with what I’m reading but if I have to pick just one…hmmm…since he has reappeared in several books read this year and love him every time, Sheriff Sawyer Thompson from the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis.

  18. Christine Woinich

Blair Hume, Earl of Erskine from Her Christmas Earl by Anna Campbell. I loved how he thought he would teach Philippa a lesson, which backfires, but he quickly learns that she means much to him and he wants to fix the situation with her in agreement rather than by force.

  19. TJ Russell

Many fabulous authors! I’ve read at least one story/book by each of these authors (except for one so now I have to wait and see if I get her book!).

  20. Joan V.

Mine this year would be Stone from Kym Roberts’ book Dead Man Carve. He’s a disabled vet that has accepted his disability and moved on to being the best that he can possibly be now. And that is pretty awesome.

  21. Jennifer Zorko

Justin “Cage” LeBlanc from Snow on the Bayou (Tante Lulu Adventure #1) by Sandra Hill. The reason that I love him is he is HOT, he is military, and he is cajun. What more can you want from an alpha male in this hot story.

  22. Jessica Alcazar (@ScoopyPooh)

That would be Archer Hale from Mia Sheridan’s Archer’s Voice! The man/boy was just magnificent. Not just as a ‘boyfriend’, but a friend and person all the way around. If you haven’t read this book you gotta do it NOW!

  23. Marcy Meyer

Very hard to choose one, but I absolutely loved Archer Hale from Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan. He was a recluse at the beginning, but he opened up and came into his own. He’s not only a sexy, hot guy, but he is sensitive and sweet. I like when the hero doesn’t have much, if any, experience. It adds something different to the story that we don’t get very often.

  24. Colleen C.

So many great guys… but Roarke from JD Robb’s In Death series tops my list!!!

  25. ndluebke

My newest one is Cole in An Unexpected Kiss by Cindy Roland Anderson, the first book in Christmas In Snow Valley Set. A Hot Doctor.

  26. Cheryl H

Matt McKinney from Worth The Fall by Claudia Connor. He’s a strong alpha who sexy and great with kids…what’s not to love?!

  27. Katina Fragakis

I have read so many books this year that it’s difficult to settle on one favorite book boyfriend. Anthony, the Earl of Hepplewood, from Liz Carlyle’s The Earl’s Mistress is my top choice today. He is a man sunk low in debauchery who will do anything to get what (or whom) he wants. But, at the same time, he loves his daughter to a fault and this carries to other children. I like the way he protects all for whom he cares, with or without their consent. And I love the way he learned to trust and love a woman he could have used and discarded.

    • Glenda S. Hefty

A bit hard to choose but since I just finished reading Festive in Death not long ago, I have to go with Roake. I noticed some other people named him. I’ve read all of the “In Death” series from the beginning and enjoyed the development of Roarke’s and Eve’s relationship. And what’s not to like about Roarke? He has it all in spades!

  28. Texas Book Lover

GAH! Such a tough question. I’ll list my top new BBF’s for the year. These are all new to me this year even is a couple of the books/series are older. In no particular order (even though they are numbered)

First up Curran from the Kate Daniels series. I am not a huge UF fan but I kept hearing about Curran so when these books went on sale I snatched them up and once I started them I devoured them. I could not get enough of them. Both Kate and Curran are fabulous! Now I want to read the new series by this team of authors.

Second…I also grabbed a few of Kristen Ashleys series when they were on sale this year. I fell HARD for Joe Callahan from The Burg series as well as nearly all the hot alphas from the Dream Man and Rock Chick Series. They are seriously too much and put them together…trouble!

Third…James Cavanaugh from Broken by Laura Write in the Cavanaugh Brothers series. Deacon was pretty hot in Branded too and I am really, really looking forward to Cole’s story Brash.

  29. Diane Sallans

I started reading JD Robb’s In Death series this year – so now I know why everyone always mentions Roarke – he’s fabulous!

  30. Dina Kmett

Quite a difficult thing to decide. I read SO MANY books, but I have made my decision. I choose the vampire Marius from ‘Unchained’ by Caris Roane. I’m almost done with the book and it’s such a Great ending to the series.

There are so many amazing qualities that Markus possesses, plus the brave things he’s endured, survived and done to become a hero to his people and to the humans he’s helped as well. Yet he is extremely humble, even to the point where he doesn’t even recognize how incredible a person he is.

I don’t want to go into the whole plot, which is difficult, because explaining some of it helps explain what an extraordinary person he is.

The woman he’s fallen inlove with is human and in a short time, she’s seen all he’s worth and how sweetly and gentle he is with others that aren’t the bad guys. He treats her like the most precious thing in the world, because that’s what she is to him. They were brought together to work on a very serious mission to save both of their worlds, yet no matter how much he loves her and believes she is meant for him, if she wants to go home to resume her life when they’re done, he’ll do it for her.

He’s very protective of her, but in all the right ways and encourages her to both leave her pain from her past behind, with his help and constantly nurtures her into becoming the best she can be.

Marius is one hot hunk of a male and the attraction between him and Shayna is off the charts. When they do finally explore that attraction, it’s not only hotter than shell, but it’s incredibly sweet. He’s always looking to give her the most pleasure and in turn that gives him his. And when they’re together, they are Always making Love. It’s very meaningful for both.

Well I will leave it at that, since I wrote so much!
Marius is definitely the male of my dreams!
BTW, I suggest checking out this series, that Must be read in order. The other two books are about his older brothers and they are males to dream about as well!

  31. Irish Pax

really??? Pick one??? I honestly don’t know that I can… As an always there is Mr. Darcy (P&P) but then if I’m in a dirty mood it would be another, in a sub mood another, ect….. Right now I’m just tired and stressed enough to want calm and cool… perhaps Captain Brody from most of the Fireman series by Jennifer Bernard

  32. Tammy Y

From 2014 – Phillip Banks from Christmas With a Seal by Tawny Weber. A Harlequin Blaze

  33. erinf1

Curran!!! From Ilona Andrews’ Kate Daniels series 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  34. Kim Perry

Ridge from Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. Ridge is sweet, romantic, and a songwriter. He’s a different hero from most, but you’ll need to read the book to find out how he’s different. He’s loyal and a great friend. Ridge is in a really complicated situation and there is no good way out, but I understood his rationale and decisions.

  35. Sandy X

I can’t pick! I have too many and so I will say I have none because it’s hard to have one on top

  36. Judy-Ree

I always have a hard time with this question, mainly because I DON”T SHARE. So any guy that could be a boyfriend can’t be the hero in a romance. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some completely awesome secondary characters that I would love to play cuddle bunny with. This years would have to go to Penny Reid’s Beauty and the Mustache: Winston Brothers. 6 Hunky Brothers to choose from. Um, Yes please! And not a girlfriend in sight.

  37. Susan T.

Hard to pick just one. While not necessary published in 2014, my fav are Simon Parker (Wallbanger), all the men from Lorelei James’ Rough Rider series, Gideon Cross and Ethan Blackstone (naked).

  38. BookLady

Acheron from the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon is an awesome alpha hero.

  39. Glenda

Oh Geesh! Too many sexy men to pick only one! Can I narrow it down to one author who had the most adorable, wonderful in just about every way men? If so, I have to go with Grace Burrowes and her multiple series: The Lonely Lords, The Captive Hearts Series, The Windham brothers (and their sister’s men), The Scottish men in the MacGregor series. I’ve only read sneak peaks of her contemporary series, but I am looking forward to reading this series too. 🙂

  40. doveknoll

It’s too hard to name just one. I usually like most of the guys in the books I read. Cage Lablanc in Sandra Hill’s novel. Her Vangels in the Deadly Angels series. Actually any of her heroes are fine with me. Love the guys in Maya Banks’ books. Some York has great sexy men in her books. See, just to many..and I’m greedy, I want them all. Lol. The bundles sound great and I would be happy with any of them. See, I still can’t pick. Even between book bundles. Haha

  41. Kristen K.

Archer Hale…he’s so inspirational and sweet and he just makes you feel!

  42. donnas1

Roarke from the In Death series. Still haven’t found someone who can top him

  43. Morgan VanLier

Nikolai Kalasnikov from Nikolai & Nikolai 2 (Her Russian Protector series) by Roxie Rivera

  44. Diana Garey

Gideon from the Crossfire series. I am rereading it now. He is a wounded hero who loves his woman.

  45. Rachael Brown

It’s hard to pick just one, but I really liked James Cavanaugh from Broken by Laura Wright.

  46. angela smith

Navy SEAL Lieutenant Phillip Banks in Christmas with a SEAL by Tawny Weber.i love books with navy seals in them.there always strong and hot

  47. Eva Millien

Revenant from Larissa Ione’s Lords of Deliverance series! Because I fell in love with his book and I believe there is so much more to him than he thinks. Have a wonderful holiday season!

  48. amydawn2537

Nicholas Argeneau in Lynsay Sands book The Renegade Hunter. I like him because even though everyone thinks he’s guilty of a crime and on the run he risks brewing caught to help those in danger.

  49. Lori H

No book boyfriends for me although I do enjoy Christine Feehan’s Carpathians.
