You asked: What is your favorite foodie romance book of 2014? Tell us why you would recommend it.

Unfortunately, I haven’t read a good food theme book in a while so I don’t have one. I have a couple waiting on my TBR list but who knows when I will get to them. I do like a good high end chef and chef story, though.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

    Belinda G

  2. Marianne W

I love when an author mentions a recipe so much in her book/series that she has to give the recipe on her website. Kristen Ashley has made me a firm believer in Jet’s Caramel Squares!

  3. kateivan

I’ve not read any foodie romances this past year, but did enjoy a cozy mystery with a baking theme (SOME ENCHANTED ECLAIR by Bailey Cates). I dig the element of magic!

  4. DebraG

Diane Mott Davidson writes mystery novel featuring her caterer Goldie. That is the only books I can think of as foodie.

  5. holdenj

Not sure if this counts as strictly foodie romance, but I read The Glass Kitchen by Linda Francis Lee earlier this year. It has a touch of magic with food and sisterly bonds. Thanks!

  6. Pat L.

Without a doubt – Hot Under Pressure by Louisa Edwards – the last in the series. The recipes for the cooking finale contest perfectly represent the hero and heroine’s lives.

  7. conniefischer

My favorite “foodie” book that I read this year is “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” by Ann Mah. The author visited different regions of France that specialize in certain foods. For instance, Crepes, Choucroute, Fondue and Boeuf Bourguignon, etc. This book had me sighing because I lived in Paris for six years and loved all the food. The open markets each day and the amazing freshness of everything. You don’t have to visited France to enjoy this book. It’s chock full of interesting tidbits, recipes and fun!

  8. conniefischer

Let me add that “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” is a romance novel as well. The author and her husband are living in Paris and he has to leave the country for a job for a few months. The way that she took hold of her life and carried on with her food tours while missing him so much showed a strong woman in a strong marriage.

  9. janinecatmom

Redeeming the CEO Cowboy by Charlene Sands left me craving cupcakes.

  10. Yesenia Hernandez

My favorite foodie book of 2014 is My Drunk Kitchen by Hannah Hart. While there are some anecdotes about love, I know this isn’t strictly a romance but a guide to loving life. It was such a fun read and gave me more reason to respect and love the author. I recommend it to everyone and bought a few copies to give as gifts. Happy Holidays everyone!

  11. Pennie M

Good question! The Glass Kitchen was great and I have shared that book so many times. Also loved Wallbanger and my KitchenAid mixer is my favorite appliance too!

  12. Margaret

I don’t think I read a foodie romance. The closest I can think of is Black Widow by Jennifer Estep because Gin is always cooking and the food scenes are really well done. It’s definitely not a romance though.

  13. Lori H

I don’t recall reading a food book however I know I have in the past. I just can’t recall the title. I read so many books 🙂

  14. Brenda Rumsey

I loved Susan Mallery’s Fool’s Gold Recipe book. Not only did it have wonderful meals to cook, but there was a romance novella mixed in between the recipes. The two just went together.

  15. rluken05

Wow, I don’t think I read a foodie book this year. Thanks for the chance to win

  16. Kristy dean

Looking at my kindle library it showed no food romance books. There were several abou drinks this year. I will have to look at my nook and see if it’s different.

  17. Ellen C.

My favorite was The Glass Kitchen. Recommended it to several friends and even gave it as a birthday gift. There were many good ones this year.

  18. Joan V.

Turn Up the Heat by Kimberly Kincaid – made me hungry while I was eating.

  19. Gail S

I read romance all the time. I don’t think I’ve read a ‘foodie’ romance that I recall. I love all types of romance so I’m game to read ‘foodie’ too. 🙂

HOW TO EAT A CUPCAKE-Meg Donahue

It was an interesting story of two woman Julia and Annie, who grew up together but were in different social classes. Something happens and their friendship falters. They meet up later in life and become friends again and start a cupcake business together.

It shows how relationships change and develop as we mature. It was humorously written. Very descriptive and emotional. I enjoyed it.

  21. Cathy P

I haven’t read any Foodie Romance books this year. Some of Tawny Weber’s SEAL books have some cooking/baking in them though.

  22. Allison W

The only one I can think of at the moment is Louisa Edwards series, although I do love foodie series!

  23. frllarsson

The first thing that comes to mind is anyone of Chloe Neill´s Chicagoland Vampires, she´s always incorporating awesome foods from Chicago, and I can´t wait for my chance to go to Chicago and try out everything! =D I´m always hungry reading them ..
Thanks for the giveaway & Happy Holidays!
    //Linda

  24. Colleen C.

Hmmm, fav foodie romance… I can not recall one… I am sure I read a few, but nothing is coming to mind at the moment.

  25. Glenda

I didn’t read any foodie romances this year. I was trying to lose some weight and they make me hungry. 😀

  26. ndluebke

I read a cupcake shoppe that was really good but cant remember the name. That’s part of my problem is I can’t remember the names soon after. But those Cozy mysteries have a little romance and are such fun to read.

  27. Trudy Dowling

Wyne and Dine by by Donna Michaels. The next book has chocolate in the title.

  28. Mary C.

I haven’t read any foodie romances this year, but many cozy foodie mysteries. I just finished Once Upon A Grind by Cleo Coyle – a Coffehouse mystery. Recipes for drinks and food mentioned in the book are provided.

  29. Judy-Ree

The Ladies Who Lunch Series by Sandy James.
    From my Review:
“The series started with The Bottom Line, continued with Signed, Sealed, Delivered and now continues with Sealing the Deal. The overall storyline takes place over several years and follows the Lifes and Loves of 4 women who become friends as teachers sharing the same lunch period. These aren’t Multi-Billionaries and too sexy Secretaries with too much time and money on their hands. Sandy James creates characters that we can see friends, family, and even ourselves in; true to life people with real world problems. And that is the beauty of her writing, she gives the everyday person a hope of the happily ever after.”

  30. Katina Fragakis

My 2014 Foodie romance favorite is The Perfect Ingredient by Ava Miles. Chef Terrence finds a lost love while in search of the perfect ingredient to solidify his culinary career. The result is sizzling sex and a hilarious exercise class.

  31. Christina Riggs

I haven’t read a “foodie” book this year! Happy Holidays & Thank you!!

  32. Glenda S. Hefty

Haven’t really read a “foodie” book lately although I’ve read most of Diana Mott Davidson’s mystery books about Goldie, a food caterer, that always had recipes in them. Susan Mallery’s books which I read all of have recipes too. But I can’t say that any are really “favorites”.

  33. Joye

I just finished reading ROSEMARY AND CRIME by Gail Oust. It was a good storyline, a sexy hero and a klutzy heroine. I really liked it.

  34. Diane Sallans

I don’t think I’ve read a ‘foodie romance’, but I have bee reading some Betty Neels stories and they always mention some gourmet meals – her stories are kinda old-fashioned, but I find them comfortable reads.

  35. Janie McGaugh

I don’t remember reading anything that I would consider a foodie romance.

  36. nikkiphilton

This really isn’t a foodie romance, but Suddenly Last Summer by Sarah Morgan is about a chef named Elise. I loved it!

  37. Sue C

I love the Heather Graham’s Krewe Hunters series. There is romance and paranormal.

  38. angela smith

Better Than Chocolate by Sheila Roberts about Sweet Dreams Chocolate Company

  39. Kim Perry

There are a few books that really are memorable for me in 2014. One of those is Black Box by Cassia Leo. Black Box is not a lighthearted story (there are difficult themes), but will make you feel a range of emotions. I loved the main characters, Mikki and Crush, and how their lives were so intertwined.

  40. Kim R

I haven’t read a foodie romance in 2014 but have some on my TBR for 2015

  41. BookLady

Can’t Stand the Heat by Louisa Edwards was a fun romantic read. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!

  42. doveknoll

The only books I could think of were Sandra Hill’s Cajun series. Tante Lulu is always cooking and Sandra will usually include a recipe in the back of some of her books. I’ve read other foodie books been it’s been so long ago I don’t remember the titles. I love finding them because I love to cook.

  43. Morgan VanLier

I`ve read a couple but I can`t think of the titles, I`ve read so many books this past year. But I think one of the authors was Lauren Royal.

  44. kec200

Something’s Cooking by Meg Lacey because it’s romantic and funny! A Martha Stewart wannabe that is totally lacking!

  45. Maureen

The Chocolate Temptation by Laura Florand because of the emotion in the story.

  46. Sharlene Wegner

The Glass Kitchen did not release this year, but I read it this year! Loved it! HEA book club read! 🙂

  47. Judy Goodnight

Add me to the ranks of those who haven’t read a foodie romance this year.

  48. Kai W.

Susan Mallery’s Fool’s Gold Recipe book was my 2014 favorite recipe book. I have made some of her recipe for dinner.

  49. Leanna

I loved Stirring Up Trouble by Kimberly Kincaid. I love this series. I just love reading books with people who love food as much as me.
