Thanks for the giveaway! I think that one of my favorite historicals this year is “Only a Kiss” by Mary Balogh, which is part of a series about a group of survivors of the war. This particular tale details the story of the only woman who is part of the ‘Survivor’s Club’ and I thought the story was both poignant and romantic!

  2. vadensmommy1

Mail order outlaw by Cynthia woof, I like it because it’s so different than my everyday life.
    Thanks for the chance
    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

  3. Kara

I forgot to say why! Opps, sorry! The characters were all swoon worthy, and there was a highlander, what’s not to love? 🙂

  4. lauraboon2014

My favourite was The Last Chance Christmas Ball. It was delightful, clever and reflective of both the Regency era and the spirit of Christmas with its sweet, warm tone full of promise and hope.

  5. Ashley F.

Hmmm, Historical I think the Snow White Bride. I love the sisters and the people of KInflayine. And the heroine is feisty and relateable and the hero is charming, honorable and with faults but you understand why.

  6. taswmom

To Ride A White Horse by Pamela Ford. Not only was it gripping in the realistic way she wrote of the Irish Potato Famine, but also in how the Irish, (as well as Italian, German, etc..) immigrants were treated. And the characters were so real and easy to feel for.

  7. Jenny Dauksa Schaber

    I don’t really read many historicals, so I don’t have a favorite.

  8. clickclickmycat

I didn’t read any this year. I was so bogged down at work, but the pressure is now off, so I can read more.

  9. Maureen

I didn’t read too many of them but I would pick Wolf’s Bride because it was a unique story.

  10. Juli Hall

    I haven’t read any historical romances so I don’t have a favorite

  11. Laura Lovejoy Brunk

I dont read a ton of historicals, but i did reread a few of Kate Pearce’s House of Pleasure series

  12. Texas Book Lover

I don’t read a ton of historicals but loved Romancing The Duke by Tessa Dare. She always makes me laugh.

  13. conniefischer

“Amberwell” by D. E. Stevenson is just one of many historical novels that I read in 2015. The characters are so well portrayed by the author that they grab the reader and won’t let go. I felt like they were family and I shared their emotions. A very well-written novel that you can’t put down.

  14. HaddieHarper

Well, I didn’t really read “historical” fiction, but I did read a good regency fantasy, with adult themes. Everealm (book one) and Wildfire (book two). I think it tops my list because its fantasy. Can never get enough fantasy.

  15. Lori Meehan

I’ve read so many historical romance books this year and so many have been really great. I’d say my favorite would be the “Scandalous Highlands” series. The last two books came out this year. I highly recommend this series.

  16. Ann Waters

I think my favorite is The Lake House by Kate Morton. It touched on all the right points for me.

  17. Tanya Guthrie

Highland Knight of Rapture by Amy Jarecki. She is one of my favorite authors. It is just an awesome series. I’m always thoroughly entertained, plus I just felt like it was time for Helen to get a HEA, she endured enough!

  18. lraines78

This is a new genre for me so I don’t have a favorite yet. I will have to read some of the books listed above!

  19. jodi marinich

i havent read many this year but if it has a duke in it i am there..lol

  20. Debbi Wellenstein

I enjoyed Bride of Falcon. The characters were wonderfully human, and the story delightful.

  21. dfosterbooks

Wagers Gone Awry by Collette Cameron. Strong heroine & a hero who needed brought down a notch. Plus there were several “laugh out loud” scenes.

  22. noraadrienne

I don’t read them. I win them or acquire them as gifts for my Southern Belle DIL. If she’s happy my son’s life is that much easier. He’s working 3 jobs to pay for the house she wanted.

  23. Andra Dalton

One of my favorite historical romance novels is probably Conquer The Night by Heather Graham, as she is incredible at storytelling. From the cover art to the storyline & everything in between she has a magnificent way of weaving it all together effortlessly so you feel as if your right there. Reading any of her books is a magical experience!!! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win & good luck to all who enter!!! Happy Holidays to all!!!:)

  24. Patti (@TheLoveJunkee)

I really enjoyed Tessa Dare’s ‘When A Scot Ties The Knot’ – it was really cute!

  25. V

While they aren’t new, I love Julie Garwood’s historical romances like The Lion’s Lady. Always so good.

  26. Marcy Meyer

I didn’t read any historical romances this year, but I do like them.

  27. Krysten M

I loved Valerie Bowman’s newest and Grace Burrowes’s True Gentlemen series. They’re 2 of my favorite historical romance authors 🙂

  28. Jessica Chappell

I loved Midwife’s Revolt! It had romance, mystery, and action! Thanks!

  29. Diane Sallans

Mary Balogh’s ‘Only A Kiss’ and ‘Only A Promise – I like to catch up on the members of the Survivor’s Club.

  30. ndluebke

There are a lot of them out there but one of them is The MacGregor’s Lady by Grace Burrowe. They really draw me in fast.

  31. Gail S

It’s been a while since I read a historical romance, so I honestly can’t remember. I’ve been caught up in contemporary romances of late.

  32. Jennifer

Always love Lisa Kleypas, so I enjoyed Cold-Hearted Rogue a lot. Looking forward to book #2 even more, though!

  33. belindaegreen

Your favorite Historical / Regency romance of 2015? Tell us why it tops your list

Unfortunately, I don’t read either historical/regency genre. Long ago as a teen, I read Barbara Cartland but found them not to be my cup of tea. Even todays books still don’t excite me. So I don’t have any favorites.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

    Belinda G

  34. Janie McGaugh

Of the 190 books I’ve read so far this year, I’ve only read 28 that were released in 2015, and only 2 of those were Historical/Regency! Of the two, Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt was my favorite. I love this series and always look forward to the next one. Elizabeth’s writing is always wonderful, and the characters are amazing. I’ve been interested in both Phoebe and James since we first met them, though they were both somewhat peripheral characters.

  35. Mary C.

Scotsman Of my Dreams by Karen Ranney – first historical I’ve read where the hero is returning from fighting in the American Civil War.

  36. Jen Zorko

I don’t really have a favorite historical romance. All of the suggestions that came in so far are hitting my TBD list.

  37. peggy clayton

My fav historical romance Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt was the top with the 4 author What Happens Under The Mistletoe being right up there with it that one featuring Sabrina Jeffries and 3 other best selling authors so so good and both of them were ones that recommend all the time at least since i have read them!

  38. lrhubble

The Prince and I by Karen Hawkins. The characters and plot were a lot of fun to read and stayed with me long after I finished the book.

  39. BookLady

My favorite historical romance this year was Sweetest Scoundrel by Elizabeth Hoyt from her Maiden Lane series. Her heroines are always very interesting.

  40. nikkiphilton

My favorite was The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. I know. I was late to that party, but OMGosh was that a great book. But I love Jennifer Ashley’s paranormal series Shifters Unbound.

  41. Ellen C.

Match for Marcus Cynster by Stephanie Laurens. Just love the Cynster family and their stories.

  42. erinf1

So many great reads, but I’m gonna say When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare. So sweet and yet had a lot of depth too. Thanks for sharing!

  43. Jean White

I use to read Julie Garwood, but I have been on a romantic suspense kick this year. I like her characters.

  44. Vicki

I love the Art of Sinning by Sabrina Jeffries. Her books are fantastic. I like how she weaves the characters together in her series books. You get to know what some of her earlier characters are up too.

  45. laurieg72l

Shana Galen’s IF YOU GIVE A RAKE A RUBY- well written, intriguing mystery with good spies and bad spies.

I liked the romance that developed between Fallon and Warrick. I felt they were a good fit, a great team, and they deserved the support and eventual love they finally accepted from each other. Both have open wounds from their past which are healed when they open themselves to love.

  46. kermitsgirl

Only a Kiss by Mary Balogh – I feel like I’ve been repetitive about this title, but it was the best written historical romance I’ve read in a very long time and I cannot give it praise enough. The way the main characters dealt with PTSD before PTSD was even considered a thing – just brilliant.

  47. Veronica

I love the historical novels of Ally Broadfield. How to Bewitch an Earl, comes to mind. With a little mystery thrown in for good measure!

  48. Kim

I enjoyed The Duke and the Lady in Red by Lorraine Heath and The Legend of Lyon Redmond by Julie Anne Long.

  49. Lori P

I really enjoyed The Rake to Reveal Her and The Rake to Rescue Her by Julia Justiss. They are part of her Ransleigh Rogues series.

  50. Meredith Miller

I didn’t read too many this year. I just finished One Wild Winter’s Eve by Anne Barton and enjoyed it.

  51. Elizabeth T.

Never Seduce a Scot, by Maya Banks is still my favorite! And I re-read it again this year. Such an enjoyable series! Highly recommend. 🙂

  52. tlrosado

My favorite is and always will be Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. It’s a regular re-read for me and, I’m sorry, but nothing compares to it. I first read it in 10th grade and started my love for regency. Also, romantic comedies are my favorite romance sub-genre and P&P was and is a LOL treat.
