In A Baby On Her Christmas List by Louisa George, Nurse Georgie Taylor wants a baby this Christmas. But she never expected her best friend, Dr Liam Maclister, to offer to be her baby daddy. Liam’s a humanitarian doctor working in refugee camps in war torn countries and keeps his heart locked away but seeing Georgie pregnant ignites feelings he just can’t ignore. Can a beautiful friendship evolve to something much more, this Christmas?
A Baby On Her Christmas List by Lousie George is a well written Christmas medical romance on the best friend’s to lovers trope. The plot is simple, enjoyable and easy to understand. The story is set in New Zealand and is well suited to be a holiday read because of it does not have any heavy duty emotional stuff which make you think so much. There are conflicts and emotions but they are in a perfect balance with lightness and humor.
I always love a heroine who has an unbreakable spirit and therefore Georgie was my perfect heroine. She is a strong, beautiful and warm character and its difficult to not fall in love with her. Her past makes her all the more stronger and I love the way she evolved as the story progressed. Liam does not play happy families and is quite satisfied with his workaholic lifestyle. He does not have time for anyone and his past makes him all the more closed off to others. Therefore I was very pleased when I got to see a very different and better side of him as the story progressed as well. The romance as I said earlier was filled with warm emotions and humor.
Overall, A Baby On Her Christmas List by Lousie George is not to be missed by anyone who wants to read a warm fuzzy Christmas medical romance.
