In A Father For Poppy by Abigail Gordon, A brief fling with gorgeous surgeon Drake Melford left a deep A-Father-For-Poppyimpression on Tessa Gilroy. She fell quite hard for him in the few time they spent together and was devastated when he left to pursue his hot-shot career abroad.

Now he’s back – and even more irresistible than ever! But Tessa’s life has changed drastically in the last four years. She’s a mother now, to adorable adopted daughter Poppy, and she needs more than a fleeting affair – she needs someone who can be a father… Dare she dream that Drake’s the one for her and for Poppy?

A Father For Poppy by Abigail Gordon was a well written romance leaning on the traditional side of romance with strong emotional connection.

Poppy is an adorable child who thankfully does not intrude in the basic plot that much and the focus stays on the main characters. Tessa and Drake are both likable characters and its easy to relate to them. I understood them and their struggles which made it easier for me to like them. The medical details set in a well constructed plot makes this romance an enjoyable read.

The romance is emotional and warm hearted. The author’s fans will this story and on a side note the cover is absolutely adorable…!!
