A Royal Amnesia Scandal by Jules Bennett: Sometimes dreams come true if you can live A-Royal-Amnesia-Scandalthrough the nightmare that comes first.

Kate Barton had lived with the royal family since she was six. Her parents had worked for them in their vacation home before moving on to the main palace. So it was no surprise that she had a crush on the Prince even if he was ten years older, but she was determined to make it work, especially when she went to work for him. However that never meant her feelings left.

Luc Silva was attracted to his assistant. He was man enough to admit it, but he was royal enough not to act on it and cause a scandal. So he got engaged and then when that fell apart he took his assistant away from everything to lick his wounds and figure out what to do next, especially since he couldn’t inherit the crown unless he married and married soon. The problem was more when he realized he still wanted her and they were all alone.

Mutual attraction was something Luc and Kate were both aware of when they were both in possession of their right minds but then Luc falls and suffers from temporary amnesia and the entire game plan goes awry. What will happen when Luc remembers? Will the damage be done? Will they both have lost their hearts? Or will they both end up battered and broken?

Wow! This is Ms. Bennett’s first foray into the amnesia trope and hopefully not her last. Her characters are realistic and she has been able to give them enough story to help the plot without making it really over the top. Though at times you may think you know what’s coming, don’t bet on it, Ms. Bennett threw in enough curves to keep those pages turning until the end. I won’t lie, there are moments of anger where you will want to beat the living daylights out of Luc, in the end you will be glad he is who he is.

She’s about to have an unforgettable affair…with her royal boss.

He was desperate to forget a broken engagement…until an accident has Prince Lucas Silva forgetting his fiancee’s identity. Now he believes his loyal assistant, Kate Barton, is his bride-to-be. And she’s under strict orders to keep up the pretense.

Playing the role of beloved is no stretch for Kate; she’s had a crush on her boss for years. But palace rules prohibit royalty from mixing with the help, so Kate knows her happiness can’t last. Once Luc regains his memory, she could very well be tossed aside…unless the prince is willing to forget the rules, too

Thanks for the review, Valerie. This one sounds really good so I’ve put it on my wish list. I haven’t read an amnesia story in a long time, so I’m looking forward to this one.
