In A Virgin for Vasquez by Cathy Williams, When Sophie Griffin-Watt walked out of tycoon A-Virgin-for-VasquezJavier Vasquez’s life, and down the aisle with another man, he swore to find a way to make her pay.

With Sophie desperate for Javier’s help to save her family, his assistance comes with a price tag–the gorgeous body that was denied to him!

Javier’s delicious game of retribution seemed the only way to get Sophie out of his system once and for all. But when he discovers Sophie’s exquisite innocence, he can no longer play by those rules…

A Virgin for Vasquez by Cathy Williams is a well written romance with the revenge trope and a story-line that I generally love in Presents.

I really liked Javier as he was a self made man who achieved so much despite the start he had in life. Sophie on the other hand was too much of a damsel of distress for me personally. She had a few redeeming qualities but on a whole I had a hard time connecting to her.

I was expecting a serious twist regarding why she left Javier the first time but her reasons regarding the same did not have any serious impact nor was I fully convinced by them. The buildup and pace is slow for a Harlequin Present.

The romance has some good moments and I thought the chemistry between the characters was good enough. Overall, a nice romance but as compared to the author’s other brilliant works, this one did not work that well for me personally.
