REVIEW: Always Red by Isabelle Ronin

Always Red by Isabelle Ronin is the conclusion to Chasing Red and picks right up where that book left off…which means, you need to read that book first. It’s a continuation.

Chasing Red was all about Caleb going after Veronica. He invited her into his home when she needed a place, but also invited her into his heart. Veronica has insecurities and trust issues and at the end of Chasing Red, she lets them get in the way of her relationship with Caleb. Always Red picks up with Veronica realizing that she might have lost Caleb forever and her journey to getting him back.

Veronica has her work cut out for her. She really hurt Caleb and then he disappeared for a bit. She’s found him, but he’s very distant and not acting like himself. But Veronica is on a mission to make things right. There are still people trying to tear Veronica and Caleb apart and if they are going to survive they will have to trust each other and trust in their love for each other. It’s obvious that they love each other, but will it be enough?

The dramatic flair the first book had, is still present in the story. I will say that I did enjoy this story much more than the first one. The characters showed some growth and the conclusion was satisfying. I enjoyed the secondary characters quite a bit. Damon, especially. Overall, a good read for those who enjoy the New Adult genre.

THE RIVETING CONCLUSION TO RED AND CALEB’S EPIC STORY
Veronica “Red” Strafford’s painful past has made trusting Caleb Lockhart difficult. But Red might have pushed Caleb away one too many times…

I want you to fight for me. Just as I fought for you. But you wouldn’t.
I stood there, staring after him, tears pouring down my face.
