Beautiful Stranger (Beautiful Bastard #2) by Christina Lauren: What is there not to love about Beautiful Stranger? NOTHING! Sit back and let me tell you a little about this wonderful book.

1b2sSara Dillon was hurt and cheated on by her former boyfriend. Moving to New York City to start a new life and taking a position with Ryan Media Group, working with Bennett Ryan and Chloe Mills, Sara decides that she is going to close herself off, love is no longer an option. That all changes the night she meet a Beautiful Stranger in a bar, and decides on a quick hookup. Unfortunately, her hookup is none other than Max Stella, the Posts page 6 playboy.

Max Stella is stunned when his Petal takes off running after a quick shag in the hall, no name, no number, just a pair of panties to remember her by. It doesn’t take him long to find her again, and learning her name is just the start for these two. When Sara approached Max and asks him for a no strings, Friday’s only, only in public, NEVER at either apartment, pictures allowed but no faces, kind of relationship, Max jumps at the chance. As these two start drifting further and further from their agreement, and closer and closer towards a relationship, can Max convince Sara that he is not her ex.

Ok, I have to say that I LOVE Max Stella! I want a man just like him. He is smart, cheeky, rich, athletic, loving, supportive, caring, and sexy as the day is long. I can really relate to Sara. I understand all about giving someone the benefit of the doubt, wanting with everything inside yourself to believe in someone and then have them prove you wrong. What makes Max and Sara work, is that Max pushes Sara to reach outside her comfort zone, while never forcing her to do anything that she doesn’t want to do. I love how Max notices the little things about Sara, that she realizes that her boyfriend of many years never did. I love how Max strives to always put Sara’s feelings first, no matter what.

If you are looking for a smokin hot read, want to revisit old friends like Bennett and Chloe, then pick up Beautiful Stranger and sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

A charming British Playboy. A girl determined to finally live. And a secret liaison revealed in all too vivid color. Book two in the NYT Bestselling series.

Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner–and speed–with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara–and the wild photos she lets him take of her–that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

I don’t read a lot of erotica, but I have been seeing this book series on the shelves at Target & they look interesting. Do you need to read book 1 before this, or is it a stand alone?

I have read them in order, but since the storyline follows the two main characters, it could be read stand alone. The characters from the other books are in each of the books as well, but in those stories play smaller rolls. I think that you would really enjoy this book and this series.
