Beholden To The Throne by Carol Marinelli is a beautiful romance story about tradition versus love.

Amy Bannester was hired by the Queen Hanna as a nanny for the twin princesses before BTTTthey were to be born. She was to help raise the girls not to raise them herself. But after the Queen’s death shortly after the birth of Clemira and Nakia, Amy has been the only parental figure they see. Now she must find a way to make Sheik Emir see the error of his ways.

Sheik Emir has a lot to deal with. His children’s first birthday is approaching and that means they have to go with the Bedouins into the desert. He has a lot to consider for his promise to his late wife and the promise he made to his father do not work together. He must choose and is not an easy choice.

Emir finds himself in the desert overnight waiting for the return of his girls in just the company of Amy. A woman he had not noticed until her audience with him. Now he finds an answer to his dilemma for she is the perfect person to look after his girls as a mother, a woman he wouldn’t mind making his wife and who could give him a son. But he doesn’t know that after her accident Amy heard her doctor saying she can’t have children.

The attraction between them is undeniable and they become lovers. But with his people waiting for him to marry he will not be able to keep Amy there and he must choose between the love of a woman or the predictions and demands of the elders.
