Boardwalk Summer by Kimberly Fisk: Everything changed for Hope at 17. She was in love with the town bad boy and they were planning their life together out of their small town. Then Nick left her behind to pursue his dream of being a NASCAR driver and she was kicked out after discovering she was pregnant. Hope picked up the pieces and dedicated herself to being the best mom she could to her twins. She’s created a good life for their little family and she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Nick is the hottest driver on the NASCAR circuit, both in looks and in skills. He’s pursuing his record setting eighth championship. He’s created his own family in his crew chief, crew, and other employees at his company. He may be living life in the fast lane, but lately something seems to be missing.

The very last thing Hope wants to do is contact Nick, but she’ll take that step in order to save her son. Josh’s leukemia diagnosis has torn their world apart and Hope is determined to do everything in her power to save him. Nick is surprised to hear from the one woman he loved and lost. He’s left betrayed, angry, confused, and scared to learn that he’s a father and that time may be running out on getting to know his son.

“What do you want to know?”
“Everything.”
She gave a nervous laugh. “That could take a while.”
“I’m not going anywhere.”

Hope has followed Nick’s impressive career, so she knew he is sexier than ever, but she’s surprised by their attraction flaring back to life. She just wants Nick to get tested and then do what he does best by walking away again. But Nick has a new determination to get back the family he should have had. Hope is stubborn, but Nick is persistent, a much needed shoulder to lean on, and uses his money and name to pull any strings he needs to for their son.

“I thought we had an agreement. Anything over twenty dollars we were going to discuss.”
“It was a hundred.”
“Ha. Ha. It was fifty.”
“So you do remember.”

Boardwalk Summer is a heartwarming and emotional second chance romance. Kimberly Fisk created a good balance of romance, family, conflict, and heat. Ms. Fisk provided great characters in their friends and the twins. Fans of Jessica Lemmon, Kimberly Lang, and LuAnn McLane will enjoy Boardwalk Summer.
