In Bound by the Italian’s Contract by Janette Kenny, Physiotherapist Caprice Tregore is facing Luciano Duchelini after seven years. She vowed never to meet him again but now she needs his help to renovate Tregore Lodge and set up her physiotherapy program. But BBTiCLuciano demands her help to insure his brother’s recovery in return to help her.

The years have changed Caprice and she is no longer the naive girl who once mistook his friendship for love. After a messy divorce, Luciano did not want to act upon the feelings he had for Caprice seven years ago. But two months in her company shows that the tantalizing attraction he turned his back on years before is still there, and this time he’s determined to satisfy his every desire…regardless of the cost.

Bound by the Italian’s Contract by Janette Kenny is a well written romance with a dark theme. Caprice Tregore is a strong and independent woman who has convinced herself that her career is enough to satisfy her after facing rejection and heartbreaks. When Luciano rejected her advances seven years ago, she was later raped the same night by someone. After that incident she closed her heart off and dedicated herself to her career. Some readers may find her much too involved in her career but given her past experience, I did not find it to be wrong and rather liked her attitude. Luciano does not know what happened to Caprice when he rejected her. He is afraid to act upon the feelings he has for Caprice because he his afraid it would end badly, like it did with his ex wife. I loved how he fought and cared for her towards the end. The romance was good and intense with loads of drama. This one was not a light romance, given the heroine’s past and some incidents in the present.

Overall, Bound by the Italian’s Contract by Janette Kenny is a well written romance with some intense and dark stuff but I think the author handled it quite well.
