Break Me Down by Roni Loren: Sam and Gibson shared an intense scene while he was Break-Me-Downtraining her to be a domme. Since that night, Gib has stayed away since he refuses to be a submissive. Sam knows just how good they could be together if only Gib would embrace his own desires and fantasies.

“I’ve taken far worse from you, mistress. If it makes you feel better, I can handle it.”
Despite her utter exhaustion, the words sent a curling warmth down her spine. “I wouldn’t be so cocky. You haven’t seen the worst of me yet.”
He lifted her hand to his mouth and brushed his lips over her knuckles. “You’re right. I haven’t been that lucky.”

When Sam is attacked, Gib immediately wants to comfort and protect her. Sam has no desire for anyone’s company, even Gib’s. But he agrees to a deal that she simply can’t refuse: he will help renovate her grandmother’s house and act out their fantasies for one week. Sam’s attack and Gib’s willingness to her sub test both of their boundaries and make them face their demons. With Sam directing them, they get a taste of what they could have.

He shook his head and swiped a hand over his face. “You’re a little crazy, Sam.”
She smiled syrupy sweet and brought out Dolly as she patted his cheek. “You’re just figuring this out, dumplin’?”

Break Me Down is a sexy switch on a BDSM-themed romance. Roni Loren delivers on the promise of a Sam/Gib pairing that was hinted at in previous books in the series. Ms. Loren also provides good balance by addressing Gib’s hesitation and showcasing the strong bonds that Gib has with his brother and friends. Break Me Down can be read as a standalone in this series. Fans of Nicole Edwards and Opal Carew would enjoy Break Me Down!

The New York Times bestselling author of Call on Me invites you to discover the thrill of control as one couple wrestles for power in and out of the bedroom…

Samantha Dunbar needs to forget Gibson Andrews. When he trained her to be a domme, she experienced just how hot things could get with the sexy executive. She was ready to hand him everything—including her heart. But Gibson backed away, declaring them incompatible. He’s a dominant, and Sam’s no submissive.

But after an attack shakes Sam to her core, Gibson tracks her down at her family’s rundown farmhouse and makes her an offer. He’ll stay the week and be hers in every way—a helping hand for the renovation and a willing lover in her bed. He swore he’d never give up control to anyone again, but he hasn’t been able to touch another woman since Sam. Maybe a week alone with her will cure him of his relentless craving.

But one taste only makes them want more, and Sam and Gibson are drawn in deeper than ever. The man who won’t give in has just met the girl who won’t give up…
