Calling Me: The Complete Series by Louise Bay: Ashleigh has been in love with Calling-Me-Promised-Nightsher best friends’ brother for just about as long as she can remember. All three of them are incredibly close, so Ashleigh has grown used to hiding her feelings. She’s trying to move on and find someone else since there seems to be no hope of Luke ever returning her feelings. Luke cherishes the close relationship he has with Ashleigh; he can’t imagine his life without her. And he struggles with the idea of Ashleigh being in a relationship with someone else.

Luke and his girlfriend part ways after being together for a few years around the same time that Ashleigh is newly single. Luke is surprised to start seeing Ash in a whole new light and he’s suddenly ready to change their dynamic. But Ashleigh struggles with the suddenness of Luke’s feelings.

“I want you here. Always. I’m just-I thought I was allowed a meltdown?”
“You totally are, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to call you on it. So, we’re going to try this? I want to explore this with you, Ashleigh. Do you feel the same?”

Luke and Ashleigh have always bantered and given each other a hard time. They know each other better than anyone else. It’s hard to adjust to the changes in their relationship after that one amazing night. They have to work to maintain their friendship while Ashleigh needs time to know that she can trust Luke’s new-found feelings.

“Oh, what am I doing here?”
“Uh, yes.”
“I’m here to stay. I’m here to hang out. To spend time with you, to convince you that I’m the only man you’ll ever need or want. That kind of thing. No big deal.”

Calling Me: The Complete Series is a steamy, up and down best friends sibling romance. While Ash’s caution is certainly understandable, it seems drawn out. Louise Bay created an interesting core cast of characters. Ms. Bay brought plenty of angst and tension. Calling Me, as a complete series, can be read as a standalone in the Nights series. Fans of L.A. Fiore and Cassia Leo will enjoy Calling Me.

*Disclaimer: “Calling Me: The Complete Series” is now titled “Promised Nights.”

Is it possible for a guy to turn on a switch and realize he’s been in love with a girl that’s been under his nose for over a decade?

Ashleigh Franklin can’t decide.

Ashleigh wants the fairy tale. Ever since she was a kid, her best friend’s brother, Luke, has been her fantasy Prince Charming. Now he’s trying to convince her that she’s the one he’s wanted all these years. There’s no way it’s that easy to escape the friend zone.

Single after years living with a girlfriend, Luke has finally woken up. What he’s been waiting for has been right under his nose for almost his entire life. Can he persuade her that he’s serious and won’t break her heart?

A Wonder Woman costume, a bottle of tequila and a game of truth or dare between two close friends changes everything.
