Can’t Let Go (Love in the Balance Book 1.5) by Jessica Lemmon is the Novella that sets up the foundation for Aiden and Sadie in the second book of the Love in the Balance series. Let me tell you a little about this GREAT novella.

We meet Aiden and Sadie in Tempting a Billionaire (Book 1). Aiden is recently divorced and has recently left his business partner who was sleeping with his wife. Sadie is commitment shy after being dumped days before her wedding by a fiance who was in love with her sister. Both Aiden and Sadie are not out for long term, but after one night in each others company and one hot kiss, neither can stop thinking about the other.

When Aiden’s mothers cancer returns, he is forced to make a decision that will change his life. Does he finally tell his family about his divorce, or does he keep up the false pretense and hurt the one woman that makes him feel alive and loved, the woman he can see a future with.

I loved Sadie and Aiden in Tempting a Billionaire and I was waiting for their story to finally be told. I love that this novella kind of lays the groundwork for what will come in their book. I look forward to seeing how their story unravells in Hard to Handle.

A LOVE IN THE BALANCE NOVELLA
AN INSTANT SPARK
Sadie Howard would never admit there’s such a thing as love at first sight, but she can’t deny the connection between her and sexy Adonis Aiden Downey. She also can’t deny she loves to kiss him-his mouth might be his most precious asset. Despite every promise to herself not to get involved any deeper than a first date, she can’t keep from seeing more of Aiden . . . in more ways than one.
Aiden Downey had no idea the hot blonde from the club would trigger his protective, gentle nature, but the moment she drops her guard and he sees the real Sadie Howard, he’s a goner. When a family crisis puts the brakes on their budding romance, can Aiden find a way to hold on to her? Or will he lose the best thing in his life just as quickly as he found her?

I enjoyed this novella also but found the ending way to abrupt, even for a cliffhanger…looking forward to reading the next book!
