Close Up by Erin McCarthy: Kristine Maddox had always run, after all it’s what her father and even her grandfather had done when things got tough. Her mother didn’t believe in her enough to show her how to stick around. So what was the big surprise that her first big 21911617fight in her marriage… yep she ran and kept running for ten years. Now she was back though and determined to become stable and her own person which meant letting go and finally filing for divorce from her husband.

Sean Maddox hadn’t spent the past ten years sitting on his heels though. He was a successful businessman who had his own company and home to show for it. What he didn’t have was a life or really any chance for one. Had he really been hoping that Kristine would come back?

When Sean and Kristine meet up again after ten years will it prove that their marriage wasn’t a mistake or will it finally be time to call it quits on their pasts and move forward?

The story of Sean and Kristine was really good. Ms. McCarthy makes you feel for Kristine in more ways, she’s not your typical heroine but she is so relatable and so real that you go through it with her, and yes there are times you want to smack her but because of the style in which it’s written you can see why she feels this way and you just want to make it alright. Ms. McCarthy is able to make you believe you are there, whether it’s trapped in a store room or stranded on an island you are transported and almost a voyeur.

For love, heat and a great story about foolish notions this is your book.

A reunion to end all reunions

Since their separation years ago, Sean Maddock has imagined a lot of scenarios where he and Kristine would get back together. So finally getting served with divorce papers is a real shock. It’s not until he seeks out Kristine and feels the same hot kick of desire that he suddenly knows why—he still wants his wife!

Clearly it’s time to move on. But before Sean signs on the dotted line to end their marriage, he wants one more weekend. Just the two of them, closed up in an isolated cabin. Surely by Sunday night they will have played out all their sexy memories—maybe even made a few new ones. Then he’ll be able to walk away…or not!
