Crown Prince’s Chosen Bride by Kandy Shepherd: Secrets and deceptions Crown-Prince’s-Chosen-Brideare recipes for disaster.

Gemma Harper, as a cook, knows this. In fact she’s lived it, for way too long. So she took a six month vacation from dating, from now on she was going to learn how to spot those liars and never get caught up in their traps again.

Tristan Marco wasn’t exactly found of skirting the truth, but he was loving his last vacation of freedom. No one knew who he was or where he was from so to speak, amazing what money could do. That said it was about time that his secret was going to have to become public.

Then Tristan met Gemma and a wooden spoon later it was all about chemistry. However when Gemma realizes she’s been tricked again, no matter the reason, will she be able to forgive and move on?

Ms. Shepherd has taken us back to the Party Queens in Sydney with this novel that can be read as a stand-alone. The story is very focused and centered around these two, in a good way. In some ways it’s the old Cinderella story but Ms. Shepherd honestly takes the story beyond and helps her readers to see that yes, love can conquer all and sometimes we just have to help it figure that out for the rest of the word to see. The writing is wonderful, the plot moving and the characters are ones you will fall in love with.
