Dear Lizzie by Annie Lyons: Lizzie Harris has been on her own a lot longer than she would like to think about. She has been out of her house for fifteen years, and in those years all the hurts that kept her from going back have just gotten stronger and stronger. The only lifeline to 22590875her past, her sister. Her sister who cancer just claimed and with that Lizzie takes a step into the past, or at least back to her small hometown.

The trip down memory lane doesn’t end there though, in fact her sister left her a package twelve letters to help her get through the first her and to help her become her own woman. A lot can happen in a year, people can change and happiness can be found.

This is not your traditional romance story, in many ways it’s not your traditional anything story, but it is a HEA.

Lizzie was so well written it was hard to put her down to do anything, I could honestly sees shades of so many people I know in her. There isn’t a ton of detail in the location, this is all about the feeling and the emotion… well and a bookstore.

This is not a light easy read but more a heart squeezing, going to make you reach for tissues, laugh out load, throw things and then reach for your wine kind of a read. Without giving away too much I will say it ends in a happily, but perhaps not the one you think of when you first see it.
