In Delectable by Adrianne Lee, Quint McCoy has just lost his father, and in his pain he has a meltdown and like he always does when he needs to feel better he went fishing. But in his pain he left his mother dealing with her pain alone and left his wife telling her she could divorce him if she wanted.

Delectable-by-Adrianne-Lee

Quint is on a four-week fishing trip to Alaska where he is incommunicado, But when he gets back calm and put together to fix what he ruined before he left he finds that his assistant has found another job, his mother Molly decides to turn his office into the pie shop she has always dreamed of and his wife has actually filed for divorce.

Callee is on her way out of town to make a new life away from her soon to be ex-husband Quint. But as she is heading out of town she knows that she has to stop and say farewell to her beloved mother-in-law. Only Molly has other ideas, and she persuades Callee to stay and lend her a hand at the pie shop.

Molly and everyone within their friends and family can see the mess that Quint has made. But only Molly will do something to try and fix it, beginning by closing Quint’s real estate business while he is out of town and using his office space for the pie shop she has always dreamed of. Now she just needs to bring both of them together so they can find the recipe for love that they had and lost along the way.

For Quint and Callee things are not going to be easy. After their recent tragedy, they now have to face the doubts that Quint’s actions have raised in their relationship. And to make matters more intriguing, when Molly hears them talking about divorce she has a near heart attack, which ends with her having to have surgery.

Now Quint and Callee have to find a way to work together before the pie shop goes under before it even opens, for due to Molly’s surgery they now have to make everything ready for the grand opening. Only Molly was the pie chef and had her own recipes and the opening is in two days.

Quint and Callee will have to find a way to work together not only to save the pie shop but also to find a way to salvage their marriage, which still heats up while they are working in the kitchen together. The plot twists will keep you entertained while the romance will make you keep reading to know what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

For a fun, light and entertaining read about second chances, don’t miss Delectable by Adrianne Lee.
