Draw Me Close (Hearts and Crafts #3) by Nicole Michaels is a story about drawmecloselosing love, about being strong enough to fight for that love. It is a story about trusting someone and trusting yourself. It is the third book in the Hearts and Crafts series but not once did I feel lost. I have not had the opportunity to read the other books in this series, but I will because this book had me captivated. This is the story of Lindsey and Derek.

Lindsey Morales is a decorator and designer who knows what it takes to make a home beautiful. She has dreams of opening her own shop, restoring and creating unique things, but first she has to get out of her sisters house. Not an easy task with a father who needs her help all the time, draining her bank account in the process. Now she is renovating and restoring her best friends home, but she is stuck doing so with one man that broke her heart, the one man that she has never forgotten, Derek Walsh.

Derek has loved Lindsey since the moment he saw her sitting in class as an undergrad. There was an instant attraction between the two of them and he fell hard. But when his ex-girlfriend ended up pregnant with his child, he does the only thing he can do to protect himself and Lindsey, he breaks it off with her and marries his ex. But the entire marriage was a lie, he never loved is ex the way that he loved Lindsey and he will do anything for a second change to win her back.

As Derek tries to show Lindsey that he has changed, issues with her father and problems with his ex threaten to tear these two apart. It will take Lindsey believing in Derek, and Derek learning to trust himself to get these two to a happily ever after.

I loved the connection with Derek and Lindsey. Yes she was mad at him, but she loved him, that was obvious. He knows that he hurt her. He wants to explain why he made the choices that he did. He did it because of his son. He did it to protect Lindsey. I loved that when things started to go sideways again for these two, that Lindsey held tight to her love and belief in Derek, telling his to trust himself and not let go of the love that they have. To fight for them, to fight for their love.

I enjoyed everything about this amazing story and will go back to read the other books in this series. This is an author that I will be watching.
