Expecting the Prince’s Baby by Rebecca Winters: Abigail Loretto knew at 12 she was in love. It didn’t matter that he was a Prince or that he couldn’t marry her, after all don’t all little girls dream of castles and princes? Then at 17 her world changed forever, she almost died and lost her mother at the same time. Her world would never be the same again.

18812422Prince Vincenzo Di Laurentis had everything growing up, after all he was a Crown Prince. He was betrothed but able to play the field since the marriage wasn’t going to be for a while and since he wasn’t in love with his betrothed it was okay, right? Except she was in love with him and when they married tried everything to make their marriage work, including three miscarriages. When they realized a child was not to be had naturally they decided on surrogacy, While Prince Vincenzo didn’t feel passionate love for his wife he did love her and wanted the marriage to work.

Abby was chosen to be the surrogate, she became pregnant and then the unspeakable happened, the Prince lost his wife. What was going to happen now? The world didn’t know there was a surrogacy taking place, and any gossip would need to be quelled not to mention pregnancy and all of this time together meant realizing some emotions ran deeper than the surface.

This love story that Ms. Winters weaves proves the theory that when you truly love someone you will do anything for them even if the best thing for them means killing a part of yourself. Sounds a little harsh I know but Ms. Winters brings you into these lives makes you believe in them and begin to root for them even when faced with the harshest of criticism. This is a love story that will suck you in and make you realize how important the people in your life can be.
