From Fake to Forever by Kat Cantrell:  Meredith Chandler-Harris, a former Miss Texas from a from-fake-to-foreverprestigious family, is trying to find her place in the world. She is close with her sister and has ambitions of buying into her wedding dress business.

Jason Lynhurst is from a powerful family that was torn apart by his parents’ divorce. He has ambitions of bringing the two factions of the company back together and becoming CEO. He has stiff competition in the form of his sister, Avery. Avery is ruthless and willing to do what it takes to be in control. He’s engaged, though it is simply a business arrangement.

However, there is a problem. Meredith and Jason are legally married. The two got hitched two years prior during a wild weekend in Las Vegas.

Jason sees an advantage in having Meredith in New York. He wants to use her as a spy in Avery’s part of the company, in exchange for a divorce. Things get complicated the more time Jason and Meredith spend together. They have great chemistry and I enjoyed their scenes together, even if Jason could be a bit stubborn. He is so focused on the business, the power to be gained, he doesn’t spend enough time seeing what’s right in front of him, a chance at happiness with Meredith.

From Fake to Forever by Kat Cantrell, is a fun story about love and power.
