Hard Sell by Lauren Layne: Matt is a genius and Wall Street wonder. He’s sexy, charming, and has had a  pretty great life where most things have come easily to him. He loves working at Wolfe Investments with his two best friends. He has one goal at this point and it’s to land a dream client, an international billionaire who’s a lot like him.

Sabrina is a self-made woman. She’s sexy, smart, dedicated, loyal, and the best fixer in New York City. She’s the person you want on your side if you have a problem you can’t fix. She’s also very private and has a carefully crafted, yet vague online presence.

Matt is great at his job, but after a wild weekend in Vegas he’s on thin ice with his bosses. He needs to clean up his image pronto or risk his job. His solution is to get a fake girlfriend and Sabrina is his best bet. They’ve known each other for years, but they have a complicated history.

“And you think that’s me? Your mortal enemy?”
“I want you because you’re my mortal enemy.”
“Why?”
His eyes lock on mine. “Because of all the women in my life, you’re the one I can count on to never fall in love with me.”

Matt and Sabrina have the same friends and they are more likely to fight and take shots at each other than have a civil conversation. Pretending to date should be a challenge, but they also have an intense, sizzling chemistry. Both battle for control in their fake relationship and struggle to find civility when it’s just them in private. The forced time together also allows them to see other, and their past, in a new light and actually form a friendship that starts to seem like so much more.

“Friends, huh?”
“Hypothetically. You know, in theory. For people who actually like each other.”
“Not us, though,” Matt murmurs.
“Definitely not,” I say softly as he pulls me in for a kiss, and I smile when I feel his smile.

Hard Sell is compelling, engaging, humorous, and sexy. Lauren Layne delivers witty banter and sizzling heat in this push and pull frenemies-to-lovers story. Ms. Layne created highly entertaining and very real characters that are a delight to follow in this series. Hard Sell can be read as a standalone in this series. Fans of Kate Meader and Julie James will love Hard Sell.

Publication: September 4th 2018 | Montlake Romance | 21 Wall Street #2

He’s a Wall Street wolf. She’s been hired to tame him. From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne comes a wildly sexy novel of business and pleasure.

Twenty-eight and filthy rich, Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He may be a “boy wonder,” but he’s every inch a man. Ask any woman—any night. But when Matt’s latest fling makes scandalous headlines, his clients get anxious, and his bosses at Wolfe Investments level an ultimatum: keep his assets zipped, get a “real” girlfriend, and clean up his act. Only one woman can help Matt with something this hard.

For PR genius Sabrina Cross, the best fixer in Manhattan, playing Matt’s steady is going to be a challenge, even if it’s just for show. They already have an explosive history, she can’t stand the cocky party boy, and worse—she can’t stop thinking about him. So who’ll dare to break her “no touching” rule first? Because when that happens, Matt and Sabrina’s game of let’s pretend will get so hot it could set both their reputations on fire.
