REVIEW: Her Mistletoe Cowboy by Alissa Callen

Her Mistletoe Cowboy by Alissa Callen: Sometimes you have to hit the bottom before you can reach the top. That’s what Ivy Bishop had to do giving up HMCher job and plush corner office not to mention her cheating fiancé to move to Montana. That’s what Rhett Dixon had to do burying himself in liquor and unruliness before buying his own ranch.

Now with the winter upon them and the holidays quickly approaching can they climb the ladders to happiness together? Or will the lights go out much to quickly.

In this fast paced novella by Ms. Callen we are taken back to Marietta to learn a little bit more about Mr. Dixon and what he is going to do with his life.

This is part of a series and while it can be read as a stand-alone is better if you have read the first part. The descriptors are great and the story has a quick romance to it focused more on the friendship of the two main characters than on their lust. This is another hit for Marietta and a true Christmas treat.

Corporate analyst, Ivy Bishop, intends spending Christmas holed up in an isolated Montana ranch house with only an abandoned puppy for company. When the festive season ends her broken heart might just have had just enough time to heal.

Ex-rodeo rider, Rhett Dixon, has put his playing days behind him. He has something to prove. Despite being the first son in three generations of ranchers, he is determined to succeed in ranching on his own merits.

But when Rhett’s new neighbor proves to be far-too-pretty and far-too-compassionate, his single-minded focus deserts him. And the more time Ivy spends with the workaholic, blue-eyed cowboy next door the more she realizes her heart isn’t actually broken – yet.
