In Intoxicated (Billionaire Bachelors Club #3.5) by Monica Murphy, Planning a big Italian wedding has turned Marina into a wreck. But it’s finally the big day, and soon she and Gage will be on their honeymoon. He’s been great dealing with her emotional breakdowns so far, so she intends to make their time alone well worth it. It turns out there’s one more big hurdle to overcome before her walk down the aisle: her matron Intoxicatedof honor, Ivy, has gone into labor. Talk about bad timing. Well…at least you can’t say it won’t be a memorable day for everyone involved.

“I know you’re emotional with everything going on today but focus on the positives. You’re going to be my wife.” I lower my voice, desperate to make her laugh. “And I can’t wait to violate my wife tonight.”

Ivy and Archer have been waiting patiently for the arrival of their first child. Although, they never dreamed he or she would make their appearance on the same day as Ivy’s brother Gage’s wedding. As the two couple’s dreams come true, their close friends Matt and Bryn help with damage control while wondering what the future holds in store for them, too.

‘A baby was being born for Christ’s sake. My baby. His sister’s baby. His future niece or nephew. This is a big freaking deal, as is his marriage to Marina. And it’s all going to happen on the same day.’

Intoxicated is the final novella in the Billionaire Bachelors Club trilogy from Monica Murphy. Hold on to your hats…this one is every bit as sexy as the first three stories and will give us readers the closure we’ve been waiting for.

‘Warmth radiates from his skin, and his scent wraps all around me as I inhale deeply, breathing him in. He’s addictive. Intoxicating. I can’t get enough of this man.’

I have to hand it to Monica Murphy. Every book I’ve read of hers, whether it’s contemporary romance or new adult, definitely brings the naughty. From the provocative love scenes to the flirty bantering, there’s no question of chemistry between her characters. And thank goodness each of the three couples here still have that spark of attraction as they embark on new chapters in their lives together. Not to mention all that sarcasm and alpha-maleness from Gage, Archer, and Matt.

I thought the way Ms. Murphy switched POVs in Intoxicated worked well for the events that took place. We got to see everyone’s thoughts leading up to Gage & Marina’s wedding and the birth of Archer & Ivy’s baby. Matt & Bryn also were caught in the middle of the chaos, so it was comical to get an inside look into it all. There might have been a lot going on in the plot but I never felt like the story was rushed in any way. Everything seemed to fall into place and I was very pleased with the ending. *happy sigh*

I would recommend reading the previous three stories in this series before finishing up with Intoxicated. They are all quick, enjoyable reads, so I’m sure you’ll have fun getting know everyone just as I did.

It’s up to Archer, Gage, and Matt to make sure this day goes off without a hitch. But between brides and babies, there’s the not-so-little issue of the million-dollar bet to attend to.
