In It Started with No Strings… by Kate Hardy, consultant Aaron Hughes catches the sight of the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and spends a It-Started-With-No-Stringsnight with her. He does not believe in commitments but surely one night stand with a complete stranger would not make any difference.

For Joni Parker, dancing and champagne are the best combination to forget about what-would-have-been-her-wedding-night blues. Until she discovers an even better cure—her first-ever fling!

But things are about to become more complicated when Aaron walks into Joni’s hospital on Monday—as the new consultant!

It Started with No Strings…by Kate Hardy is a well written medical romance on the one night stand to a serious relationship trope. It was set up in a London hospital and had enough medical details to keep me interested. Joni is a half Navajo heroine and has been bought up in a sheltered and much loved family. She has had an unfortunate relationship in the past but she was brave enough to walk out from the same. Aaron is a likable hero who has his shares of skeletons in the past. It has not been easy for him and therefore he has erected many barriers around him. I loved how both the characters were very realistically portrayed and I could easily understand them.

The plot was perfectly executed with the right amount of humor, conversations, emotions and physical intimacy. The romance though predictable was very engaging.

Overall, It Started with No Strings…by Kate Hardy is a well written romance with interesting medical details. If you like Kate Hardy’s books then you will most probably love this one too!
