Just Married by Jenna Bayley-Burke: Miranda has been in love with Just-MarriedCallum since their days in law school. They’ve been friends with benefits for years. While Miranda would love a family one day, her career as a lawyer is demanding and comes with long hours. Her arrangement with Cal suits her just fine, until suddenly Cal decides to get married. She’s thrown and is determined to use all of her finely-honed skills to argue and get Cal to see some sense.

Cal is managing to get by since losing his father. With the threat of losing the family trust at stake, he’s determined to get married. He’s looking forward to the honeymoon if only he can convince Miranda to say yes.

He smiled. “You still keep that thing running? You know your parents would have upgraded by now, right?”
“It doesn’t matter. I don’t sleep around, so you won’t have to deal with it. And you’re going to keep it in your pants so I’m not stuck trying to unload a castle and sell stores to your rivals. Deal?”

After their surprising Vegas wedding, things go back to normal for them both. They live on opposite sides of the country and plan to meet up on a more regular basis than before the wedding. They do have great chemistry and banter where each gives as good as they get. Everything changes when Miranda realizes that she’s pregnant as kids weren’t on the cards for their relationship. They challenge each other and have to figure out what matters most with impending parenthood.

“What else is in your arsenal?”
He spun the containers to face her. “New York cheesecake.”
“Cheater.”
“Just using the assets available to me.”

Just Married is a fun and sexy story with an unconventional relationship. Jenna Bayley-Burke created an interesting starting point for the story with good conflict and character development. Ms. Bayley-Burke provided good secondary characters in their group of friends and family. Fans of Shiloh Walker and Joss Wood will enjoy Just Married.
