Kiss Me, Sweetheart by Codi Gary: Rylie dreams of opening up a bakery, but she’s got bills to pay. Until she’s in a better position to pursue her dreams, she works as a wedding planner and bridesmaid for hire for celebrity weddings. She enjoys helping to putting weddings together, but she would much prefer to be making their cake. She’s dedicated, responsible, fun, and feisty.

Dustin is sexy, charming, and doesn’t need to be working. He grew up in a wealthy family and made his own money from developing an app, so he doesn’t need to be groomsman for hire. He’s known for being a player and flirting with women seems to be as natural to him as breathing.

Rylie has no use for the wealthy playboy and really doesn’t want to be paired up with him for their latest wedding. Working side by side with Dustin will be torture since she can’t control or hide just how attracted she is to him.

“Let’s play truth or dare. It’s the perfect way to get to know each other.”
“I don’t need to get to know you anymore than I already do.”
He winced. “Ouch, but I’m going to ignore that. I’ll start. I want…truth.”

Dustin is always ready with a sexual innuendo of some sort, so Rylie doesn’t quite know what to expect when he shows a more caring and gentlemanly side. By working on this wedding, they certainly get closer than either expected and they get under each other’s skin. Dustin has no desire for a relationship, but he wants Rylie and lets her in far more than anyone else. She challenges him and doesn’t care about his money, which is a refreshing change.

“I’m going to be a professional and keep my hands to myself.”
“You mean the hands that are currently resting on my lower back? Those hands?”
He dropped his arms from around her and grinned sheepishly. “Starting now.”
Rylie gave him a gentle push. “I guess we’ll see on Monday then, huh?”

Kiss Me, Sweetheart is an entertaining and unique twist on an opposites attract storyline. Codi Gary created an interesting and diverse cast of characters that should make for an engaging series. Ms. Gary provided drama, conflict, tension, anticipation, heat, and humor. Fans of Stefanie London and Sandy James will enjoy Kiss Me, Sweetheart.
