lakesideLakeside Peril by Lenora Worth: This story is successful in a few ways! As a great romantic suspense novel, also as being part of a series but a book that doesn’t make you feel bewildered about what you missed if its the first you’ve read in the series. And, it makes me want to read others in the series to learn about the characters that are on the fringe helping Hunter and Chloe find safety and answers.

Now i plan to read the first three in this series! In Lakeside Peril, we meet Hunter and Chloe, who meet when Chloe hires Hunter to search for answers about her sisters’ untimely death in a plane crash. Their families have been entwined before in tragedy, and Hunter agreeing to protect Chloe and help her find justice, entwines Hunter and Chloe further into a mysterious web of danger and deep secrets. Secrets that some very evil masterminds are desperate to guard.

It seems like the story takes a new twist every few pages, and people that the reader expects to be caring and loyal are those who turn on Chloe and Hunter, yet there are other surprises such as the father Chloe reluctantly suspected, who truly does come through with his love for her. I highly recommend this story!
