In Love for Beginners (Under the Hood #2) by Sally Clements , Melody Swan is part of an all women mechanic shop. She is doing great with her two friends but after one of them had an accident, now they need a mechanic to help them out in the meantime. Melody takes care of the office part of the business, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to work on cars, but if she spends a lot of time doing one Love-for-Beginners-by-Sally-Clementsthing the other gets neglected.

So while looking for a temporary mechanic, on the side Melody is looking for a man to share her life with, she wants to share her hopes and dreams, but the one thing she will not accept is passion. She knows what passion can lead to and how it can burn out and then end things, she wants a companion for the rest of her life and passion will not be taken into consideration.

Heath came to Meadowsweet to help out his sister in her shop, but the main reason is to photograph nature. That is his secret pleasure and dream, to photograph. But he needs to get away from his family in order to be able to do what he wants and take just the perfect picture to submit as part of his portfolio for what could end up being his dream job.

What Heath did not expect was the instant attraction he felt for Melody, he does not want to hookup with anybody after his last relationship ended in disaster. Only he cannot decline her offer to be his outdoor guide and take him to the perfect place to take his photographs while keeping his secret. Only spending so much time together and alone will not let them ignore the very obvious sparks flying between for too long.

I loved this story, Melody and Heath both have issues that they have to get over, and they learn to accept or get past them as they begin to fall in love. The only problem they will have to face is their goodbyes in the very near future, and unless they both accept that they found what they were not looking for and fight for what they feel, they may both end up loosing what would be their true love. I know this is a second story in this series, but if you are like me and jump right into this one, don’t worry because you will not feel lost and you will love it all the same.

For a sweet and sexy romance, don’t miss Love for Beginners by Sally Clements.

She needs a lesson in love, and he’s the perfect teacher.

Mechanic Melody Swan is looking for a man who can share her hopes and dreams, but she swore she would never lose herself to passion. When sexy Heath Starr agrees to temporarily sub in the Under the Hood garage for his sister, Mel sees the perfect opportunity to enjoy being with a man without becoming attached.

Heath came to Meadowsweet to photograph nature, not find a hookup, especially since his last relationship ended in disaster. He vowed he’d never break another woman’s heart, and in turn, protect his own. Still, when Mel offers to serve as his outdoor guide, he can’t refuse.

Mel may say she’s only looking for right now, but her body is speaking a whole different language. And Heath’s viewfinder is drawn to her time and again. When the two find themselves isolated in a rustic cabin, they could both break their promises if they aren’t careful…
