Love Machine by Kendall Ryan: Keaton loves numbers and working in sales. She’s confident in herself at work, but not so much when it comes to romance and relationships. She is sweet, loyal, generous, and feisty. Slate is as sexy and handsome as the athletes he works with. He’s a great friend, but he’s sworn off love and relationships after getting burned years ago. Slate is happy enough to pick up women in bars for one-night stands, while Keaton does relationships.

Keaton and Slate have been best friends since college. They know each other really well and are super comfortable together. When Keaton decides she needs lessons in sex, she naturally turns to Slate to teach her. From the beginning, they have put each other in the friend zone, but Keaton’s request changes things. Both are now aware of the attraction and they look forward to each new lesson.

“Ground rules?”
“For…” He falters, only for a second. “Whatever this is. Or whatever this could be.”
“Okay. That sounds good.”
“Good. Talk to you tomorrow, Keat. Get some sleep.”

Slate is a great teacher and it helps that they can laugh with each other. Both are very honest about what they want to get out of their temporary arrangement and how important it is that they can maintain their friendship during and after they both move on. Slate is definitely protective of her and very sweet and thoughtful. They get to know each other on a whole new level and get so much closer. But they find once they’ve opened Pandora’s box there may be no going back.

“You know what I mean. There are definitely goals I want to reach. I have a spreadsheet-”
“I’ve seen your spreadsheet, Keaton,” he says, “and it’s very impressive. The color coding, especially.”
“Okay, shut up.” I chuckle.

Love Machine is funny, sexy, and hot. Kendall Ryan brings the heat and banter in this friends to lovers romance. Ms. Ryan created an entertaining cast of characters in their friends, neighbors, and Keaton’s cat. Fans of Lauren Layne and Marie Force will enjoy Love Machine.

Publication: Published July 16th 2018 | Kendall Ryan |

A best-friends-to lovers standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

She says she needs some help … in the bedroom.

Come again? No, really come again.

Sweet, nerdy, lovable Keaton.

She’s my best friend and has been for years. Sure she likes numbers and math, and thinks doing other people’s taxes is fun. And I like … none of that stuff. She’s obsessed with her cat and reads novels I’ll never understand, and yet we just click. There’s no one I’d rather share breakfast burritos with or binge watch hours of Netflix. She’s my person. And so when she takes off her glasses and asks me to help her improve her skills in the bedroom, I barely have to think about it.

Of course I’ll help her. There’s no one better for the job.

I’ve been there for her through everything, why should this be any different?

But what happens when she’s ready to take her new-found confidence and move on?
