Montana Ice by Vanessa Vale: Small town Montana, nothing could possibly happen there, right? After all it’s a small town, what would? Then weird things start to happen.

Veronica Miller doesn’t really believe in chances, but things are starting to happen that she just isn’t too sure about. Including the strange fact that her first crush, her first love is all of a sudden showing up at her sister’s house while she is in the shower when he hasn’t been back to town in ten years. Jack Reid wasn’t sure about anything, or even really why he was back in the small town he couldn’t get away from fast enough ten years ago, but back he was. The only question was what was he going to do now that he was back?

Someone is out to get Veronica and on top of that she and Jack have to live with one another for a couple of days while their houses get completed. Is this a recipe for disaster or for a future?

Ms. Vale has done a very good job taking her readers back to small town Montana with this story. She has done a great job infusing something more than romance into the book. While the small town romance series is different than her other series the consistency of Goldilocks and “Goldie” honestly have me intrigued to see how she will continue the threads and she is probably one of the most unique characters I’ve seen in a novel in a long time. This is a great short by the pool kind of a novel.

Book Info:

Publication: Published July 12th 2018 |  Small Town Romance Book 2

Veronica Miller is a plumber on a mission—buy out her dad and the family business is finally hers. One big, handsome problem stands in her way. And it’s not a clogged toilet.

Jack Reid is the boy she crushed on in high school. Ten years ago, he broke her heart and skipped town. But now he’s back, and he’s definitely no longer a boy. He’s all man—and he’d really like for Veronica to check out his pipe.

Forced to being roommates, Jack and Veronica have to work through a decade of baggage, disappointment, wanting and unrequited lust.

Even though Veronica’s heart hasn’t yet forgiven Jack, they’ll need more than a pillow berm down the middle of the bed to keep them apart.

In Montana Ice, the second book in the Small Town Romance series, it might be below zero, but Jack and Veronica heat things up.
