In Mr. Right All Along by Jennifer Taylor, Pediatricians Eve and Ryan were firm friends back when they were students until a playful kiss under a mistletoe revealed a chemistry so explosive it sent them running in different directions!

So from being friends they became totally indifferent towards each other and a relationship that could have gone so much deeper after an impromptu kiss ended before it could even start.

Now Eve’s new boss at Dalverston General is Ryan! Neither has forgotten that kiss, but Eve has been hurt badly before by someone she assumed was the “one” for her and no matter how much she wants a second chance in love with Ryan–she is not willing to get burned again because this time around she may not survive.

She needed to get a little balance back into her life, start seeing the situation for what it was. Ryan was her friend and, despite that kiss, he had every intention of remaining her friend too.

Mr. Right All Along is a part of the Dalverston Weddings miniseries by Jennifer Taylor. Though it is a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. The plot of the story is unconventional and might be a little controversial as compared to the other books in the harlequin medical line. So you may like it or not feel that much about the story.

The story is based solely on the emotional quotient and though there are sparks flying, the characters share physical intimacy towards the end of the story due to the reasons specified in the book. Eve has gone through an abusive relationship in the past and therefore is scared to invest anything in a relationship with Ryan once more after being so badly burned.Ryan also has his own baggage to overcome and I found it less damaging than Eve’s. The romance goes through a slow progression and the characters learn to love each other step by step. I liked how Jennifer Taylor has handled the romance, keeping it real as possible and making it go smoothly with hardly any bumps.

‘Yes,’ he said simply, because he wouldn’t lie. ‘I couldn’t bear to think that I might scare you, sweetheart.’
‘You won’t.’ She leant forward and kissed him lightly on the mouth and her eyes were clear and unafraid when she looked at him. ‘You’re not him, Ryan. You’re you. And I trust you.’

Overall, Mr. Right All Along by Jennifer Taylor is a realistic romance about finding true love when you least except it. It is high on emotional quotient and if you like emotional stories about finding love against all odds, then you may like it.

Dr. Right in front of her eyes…

Pediatricians Eve and Ryan have not been having a relationship all the way back to their student days! They were firm friends, nothing more, because Ryan “never-short-of-a-date” Sullivan didn’t ever intend to get involved with anyone and Eve was waiting for Mr. Right. Then a playful kiss revealed a chemistry so explosive it sent them running in different directions!

Now Eve’s new boss at Dalverston General is Ryan! Neither has forgotten that kiss, but Eve’s had her fingers burned by one “Mr. Right” and, no matter how gorgeous Ryan is, she still isn’t going to get involved with him…right?

This sounds great. I’m glad that you said it could be read as a standalone. If I like this book I will checkout the rest of the series.
