One-Night-With-the-Bad-BoyOne Night with the Bad Boy by Eve Gaddy: Bailey Richmond is a single mom, her son abandoned by his father when she was only six months pregnant. From then on she was done. She liked her order and her rules. It was what made her great at her job, CFO of Kelly Boots. The only problem was she was still attracted to those bad boys, just like Xander Blue. Xander was in town for a year according to his father’s will. When he saw Bailey everything else flew out the window though. No matter the attraction would Bailey be able to let loose? Or would Xander be able to put down roots not just with Bailey, but with her son as well?

Ms. Gaddy has brought us back to Whiskey River with this short novella. It can be read as a standalone as it really focuses just on Bailey and Xander but if you want to get the fuller picture it’s better to be read in the Whiskey River series order. Ms. Gaddy uses sparse wording to get her points across and while it’s a pleasing ending you might be asking yourself what just happened. Overall though it’s a good plot with very likeable and real characters.

The Blues might be new to Whiskey River, Texas, but these illegitimate sons of the legendary Boots Kelly are no strangers to charisma.

Xander Blue, IT genius, has always been a love ’em and leave ’em kind of guy. But when he meets the CFO of Kelly Boots, beautiful single mom, Bailey Richmond, he knows he’s down for the count.

Bailey Richmond has been there and done that and won’t do it again. In Bailey’s eyes, once a player always a player and she and her son have too much at stake to risk it all on a fling. But dark-haired, blue-eyed, sexy Xander Blue makes her question all her rules.

Xander is determined to prove to Bailey that there’s more between than chemistry. Can a charming millionaire convince a once bitten, forever shy single mom that she wants more than one night with the bad boy?

This sounds like a great book. What is the order of the series, since you recommend reading them in order.
