Playboy Doc’s Mistletoe Kiss by Tina Beckett was a well written sweet, emotional romance with the pretend lovers to real lovers trope.

Jess is a dedicated midwife whose still hurt over her twin sister and ex-fiance’s deception. Dean is a playboy and he is unapologetic for whatever he does. On the surface he carries a devil may care attitude but deep within he is emotionally closed off due to his parent’s abusive relationship.

The romance was a little slow to take off but it was emotional. Jess’s family was involved in the development of the romance and kind of also acted as a catalyst for some events in the story.

Overall, Playboy Doc’s Mistletoe Kiss by Tina Beckett is a nice warm romance for everyone who wants a slow paced, emotional and sweet romance.
