REVIEW: Primary Suspect by Laura Scott

Primary Suspect by Laura Scott is a page turning combination of suspense and second chances. It also makes me want to read earlier books in the Callahan Confidential series, to “get acquainted”‘ with the other Callahans! A few of the brothers names did seem familiar, which is always a treat in reading series.

A Primary Suspect brings together Dana, a young widowed ER nurse, and Mitch, a former firefighter turned arson investigator. They briefly knew each other in the past as he tried to save her husband from a fire. They meet again in the ER when Mitch is running for his life after being treated for a stabbing wound.

The story takes a series of sharp twists and turns as Mitch and Dana desperately try to stay more than a few steps away from the evil killers on their tail. As they research to see who is trying to make Mitch look guilty for murder, they come across extremely unsettling information about Dana’s former in laws.

To find out how this all ties in together, I recommend fellow readers to pick up “Primary Suspect” and curl up in a good chair for a few hours!
