Prince Hafiz’s Only Vice by Susanna Carr is the eighth part in the Royal and Ruthless series. Duty requires Prince Hafiz to marry a suitable bride according to his parent’s choice. His stunning American mistress, Lacey Maxwell has always harbored a secret 22852312dream of getting married to Hafiz one day but her dreams are shattered when she becomes aware of Hafiz’s impending marriage to someone “suitable”.

Faced with the reality of a passionless union, Hafiz realizes the years spent with Lacey have done nothing to slake his hunger for her. Instead he’s determined to turn his only vice into a virtue for the sake of his country…and each other!

Prince Hafiz’s Only Vice by Susanna Carr is a well written romance in the duty v/s love /sheikh trope. Hafiz is conflicted between his duty and his love for Lacey. Circumstances make him choose between duty and love and it is obviously not easy for him. His past mistakes and his duty require him to do the right thing for his country and let Lacey go but letting her go is obviously not right for him personally. I liked how this conflict is depicted in the story and this made me understand the hero better. Hafiz is not my ideal hero because dominated his family and he did misled Lacey many times but I could understand his conflict and actions. Lacey met Hafiz in the US, became his mistress and moved to his country to continue their affair. She is not a very strong or developed heroine but I liked how she stood up to Hafiz and her anguish over Hafiz’s impending marriage is well depicted. The story is nicely done and picks up a steady pace after the initial chapters. The ending is probably the best part of the story and is very beautifully done. The romance had many emotions and was enjoyable due to the amazing chemistry the characters shared.

Overall, Prince Hafiz’s Only Vice by Susanna Carr is a well written romance with an entertaining story. A must read for all Susanna Carr ‘s fans.
