Roadside-AssistanceRoadside Assistance by Marie Harte is book two in the Body Shop Bad Boys Series, and can be read as a standalone. For those that read the first book, Roadside Assistance outshines Test Drive and is highly recommended to those who love witty banter, sexy characters, and real challenges that our characters must overcome.

Our hero, Foley Sanders, is definitely a bad boy but he’s also sweet and charming, in his own way. Foley is also very persistent and I found that trait to very enjoyable. Usually, when a woman turns a man down, there’s attitude from him or he shows her what she’s missing by hooking up with another woman. This does not happen in this book. Foley goes after Cyn with a fierce determination that’s admirable. From the moment he met Cyn, he wanted her and it doesn’t matter how many times she gives him the brush-off, he’s out to prove to her, how good they could be.

Cyn is a firecracker. She’s not afraid to speak her mind or get an attitude. She’s also smart, successful, and honest to a fault. What she does lack, though, is confidence. It’s not her fault though. Her mother is a real piece of work and really does a number on Cyn. She never fails at cutting her down or telling her to lose weight and that kind of mental abuse for so many years, is trying and can even bring the strongest of people to their knees. Thankfully, Foley is with her and makes it known that he loves her curves and isn’t one of those men who doesn’t appreciate a woman’s body.

Foley is really one of the better heroes I’ve read about this year. He’s not afraid to get under Cyn’s skin and make her feel and he’s not afraid of his own feelings for her, either. The way he is with his mom and his best friend, who he considers his brother, is just wonderful. Foley’s only issue is his mouth. Not realizing Cyn has her own issues to work through, he really puts his foot in his mouth in the beginning, but like I said earlier, Foley’s persistent and clears up this mess pretty quickly. There’s also some drama that Cyn and Foley must get through in order to get their happy ending, but rest assured, a happy ending is exactly what these two get.

Overall, Marie Harte wowed me with this book. From the sexy cover to the amazing characters and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one! Highly recommended!

Underneath the axle grease and tats
He’s a gentleman

Foley Sanders figured he’ll always be content with a life of cars and casual hookups. Until a run-in with Cyn, a statuesque firecracker with a hate-on for men, leaves him bewitched and intrigued-much to her annoyance.

Maybe Cynthia Nichols was a little hard on Foley, that muscular, tattooed, super-hot mechanic next door. But she’s tired of feeling defensive about her size and has sworn off men. She’s got a new job, new life, perfect plan. Foley has trouble written all over him-no way is she going to fall for his charms.

Foley might look like a bad idea, but underneath, he’s all gentleman. Too bad Cyn’s not buying it. What’s a bad boy to do when the goddess of his dreams won’t give him the time of day?
