Room for Two by Sydney Landon: Asher is sexy, charming, and constantly chased by women. Ash loves to run the Oceanix with his brother and all of the brothers are pretty close. He’s determined to avoid relationships in favor of one night stands, but he’s getting tired of always finding the crazies. Dealing with the drama of the morning afters or run-ins when he’s out somewhere is really starting to become a problem.

Dana is smart, sassy, and very loyal to those she considers to be family. She loves to work with her best friend, Zoe, in the coffee shop in the Oceanix. Much like Ash, she doesn’t want to be in a relationship or tied down in any way.

Dana is tired of and confused by her relationship with Ash. They really don’t know each other, but his near constant insults and always having the last word are really wearing on her nerves. Their adversarial and combative relationship is also really out of character for a man known to charm the ladies of all ages. Ash is appalled by his own behavior towards Dana and only begins to see her in a new light when she rescues him.

“I’m sure you won’t be able to hold out for long. Let’s face it, I rub you the wrong way. We’re oil and water and whatever else there is that doesn’t mix. As long as you know that I’ll continue to give as good as I get, we should be fine.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less,” Ash answered honestly.

Despite the insults, both are wildly attracted to each other. It’s an uncomfortable feeling when they begin to get to know each other as they pretend to be dating. Dana challenges Ash and he loves how smart she is and the creativity of her many insults. It’s only a matter of time until they finally act on their attraction. They are perfectly matched and the banter becomes more playful as they get closer than either intended.

“You know better than that. You’re different; you always have been.” He seemed almost confused as he added, “I have no idea what I’m to do with you. If I had half a brain, I’d run, but I can’t seem to stay away from you.”
“Ash,” she whispered uncertainly, then went silent as his eyes locked on hers. Finally she asked, “What’re we doing here?”

Room for Two is laugh-out-loud hilarious with witty banter and interactions that zing and pop. Sydney Landon provides sass, humor, anticipation, and plenty of heat. Ms. Landon created a delightful cast of colorful characters that you would love to hang out with. Fans of Jaci Burton, Jill Shalvis, and Alice Clayton will love Room for Two.

When Asher Jackson, the playboy co-owner of the Oceanix Hotel Chain, meets Dana Anders, manager of the gourmet coffee shop within the Oceanix Resort, he longs to strike up a good rapport with her. But to his surprise, his typical charm immediately fails him and he can’t help but provoke her with sarcastic remarks at every turn.

Even though Dana can give as good as she gets, she’s confused by Asher’s hostility toward her–especially when she harbors a secret attraction toward him. When she finds herself with unexpected bills to pay, Dana strikes up a deal; Dana will pose as Asher’s jealous wife and drive away the lingering ex-girlfriends that Asher desperately wants to get rid of. Asher hasn’t engaged in a serious relationship since his heart was broken five years previously, so he thinks playing husband to a fake wife won’t be a problem. But as the relationship continues he’s no longer quite so certain. And as the line between false animosity and real attraction becomes blurred, Dana begins to realize that the one thing she wants is what she’s pretending to already have.
