In Securing the Greek’s Legacy by Julia James, Anatole Telonides finds out about the illegitimate child of his now dead young cousin Marcos Petranakos and he is determined to give the child his rightful place in his powerful Greek family. The only person standing in his way is the child’s aunt, Lyn Brandon who is not willing to part form her nephew.

Lyn Brandon put her life on hold to protect and keep her beloved orphaned nephew. So when rich, powerful and gorgeous Anatole Telonides arrives demanding the child’s return to his Greek family, the blood freezes in Lyn’s veins…even as her pulse starts racing.

Anatole agrees to marriage of convenience to secure Lyn’s position in her nephew’s life and fulfill his goal of making Marcos’s child a Telonides legally.

How will this ultimate sacrifice effect Anatole and Lyn..??

She nodded dumbly as memory swept over her, hot and vivid. Dear God, had it really happened? Had she been swept off into Anatole’s arms, his bed? Could it be real? True?

Then he was walking up to her, enfolding her in his arms.

‘Come back to bed,’ he said.

The voice was huskier than before. Its message clear.

Desire was in his eyes.

Securing the Greek’s Legacy by Julia James, is a well written romance. It’s not a marriage of convenience story because they never get married during the course of their whole relationship in the book. They agree to get married for the sake of Georgy but they never reach that stage. Anatole was a surprisingly  nice hero as compared to the author’s previous alpha heroes. He was perfectly civil with Lyn throughout the story and never crossed any line with her. I liked his attitude and the way he handled everything so calmly. Lyn was too much of a sacrificial lamb for my liking and though I appreciated her for whatever she did for her nephew–she did overdo it sometimes. I wished she would have stood up for herself sometimes.

The characters are pretty much normal and don’t have any significant back-story which defines their present. The romance was pretty good too with nice moments in between. Not much of action is going on until the last chapters so it grew pretty stagnant for me half-way through and the lack of conflict also bothered me.

She looked startled. Anatole reached across the table totake her hand. The delicately varnished nails glowed softly, and her skin was soft and warm. It felt good to hold her hand…
‘Do not look so alarmed,’ he said. ‘It will be fine. I promise you. Trust me.’

Overall, Securing the Greek’s Legacy by Julia James, is a well written, enjoyable romance with light to little angst.
