In Seduced by the Mogul by Pamela Yaye, business mixes with pleasure as a Seduced-by-the-Mogulreal estate mogul makes the biggest proposal of his life.

Dante is successful, extremely wealthy and works all the time. Dante also has a four-year son with an ex-wife who gives him nothing but trouble. Because his ex-wife left a bad taste in his mouth, he has some issues trusting women. He protects his interests and his heart at all costs…until Jordana works her way into his heart.

Jordana is normal and exactly what Dante needs. She’s an aspiring actress looking to make ends meet while waiting for her big break. Jordana comes from a small town and lives paycheck to paycheck and even though Dante has more money than needed, she never takes anything from him. He’s her best friend and she’s not looking for a handout.

Jordana is always there for Dante, especially when it comes to his son. When Dante proposes marriage to her, in order to get full custody, Jordana reluctantly agrees even though she believes him to still have feelings for his ex-wife. In return, Dante offers money to pay for her mother’s mortgage, so it doesn’t get foreclosed on. It’s supposed to be a business agreement and nothing more.

The story was good but it took me awhile to get into the book. The hero was just okay, nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy Jordana’s character but didn’t really picture her with Dante. I couldn’t feel the connection between the two. There was also a lot of drama between the ex-wife and Dante and some with Jordana’s ex-boyfriend wanting back in the picture. Unfortunately, none of that piqued my interest. The only plus to this book was Jordana.

As always, my review is my own and just because a book didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

When business becomes pleasure

Winning is a way of life for Dante Morretti, and he’s got the real estate empire to prove it. With custody of his four-year-old son, Matteo, at stake, Dante intends to win that, too. Marrying his best friend, Jordana Sharpe, is a vital step in his plan. But when the alluring actress takes Matteo and Dante sightseeing around Los Angeles, he’s waking up to a world beyond boardrooms and billion-dollar deals.

Jordana is as committed to her acting as Dante is to his business. She doesn’t envision feeling that passion for anything else, until her no-strings arrangement with the gorgeous Italian magnate takes a detour…right into Dante’s bed. Suddenly everything is at stake—her career, his custody fight and a fake marriage that could very well lead to the real family they both secretly crave…
