Stalking Season by Sandra Robbins: This was such a I found well Stalking-Seasonwritten story that moves at a brisk pace, but at the same time, hits home deeply.

It was a difficult read at times, only because i could identify with the horror of being stalked, having lived through that many years ago. Thankfully, not to the same extent as Cheyenne experiences.

Cheyenne is seeking a new life in the Smoky Mountains after losing her parents when they are murdered by the man stalking her. She believes she is safe in the new town, safe to make new friends, safe to return to her career of trick riding, and free to have a future. Unfortunately she soon begins to receive threatening notes and to be the target of attempts to hurt her or worse. She is befriended by Luke, a deputy in town who takes on the role of her protector.

Luke takes Cheyenne under his wing as they work together to find who is threatening her. Meanwhile, she grows closer to friends whose ranch she is living on, soon feeling they are her family. She also finds comfort in the friendship of the family who own the riding show. Little does she know who is truly going after her!

I found I could not put this down, as I was intent and hopeful there would be a happy ending.
