Sultry-GrooveSultry Groove (Reckless Beat #4) by Eden Summers: Our hang-ups and baggage can ruin our future if we le me. They can also make breaking free worth so much more.

Melody wasn’t sure her life was ever going to be the same. She was used to being on top of the world, everything came easy to her. Melody was a dancer and she was always the front, showing up everyone. Yes, roles, men, looks, everything came easy to her then her whole world changed and shifted and now there was just constant pain. So she was determined to make due in the shadows and instead of dancing it would be time for her to become a choreographer.

Sean was tired of playing second fiddle. He had done so most of his life. He was the drummer of the band but no one knew him. He kept the band together, but still no screaming fans, no extra excitement, nothing. The woman he thought he was in love with is marrying his best friend. Why can’t it ever be about him? So to placate him the band gives him his own music video, the only problem, he can’t dance.

So Melody is brought in to teach him to dance and the routine. Somewhere along the line things get a little confused and heated. While they both battle their own demons neither seem to realize how deeply they are ingraining themselves into each other lives. When push comes to shove though will they pull back into themselves? Or will they blossom and grow together.

Oh my… Ms. Summers has done it again. This is the fourth book in the Reckless Beat series and is AMAZING! Sultry, sexy, and seductive don’t even begin to cover it. She has deepened our understanding of these characters and drawn us further into their lives. This is one of those novels that will have your eyes burning and will find you unable to put it down. I do have to tell you though the biggest problem I have with it is now waiting for the next one! Don’t get me wrong it’s not a cliffhanger, but she does give you a taste of the next story. She has such a great style that once you read one you will want to pick up everything else she’s written. Definitely pick this one up for some steam, some love and the knowledge that we all have scars and with the right help we can all be stronger with them.

He wants the world and the admiration of everyone in it.

Sean Taiden, the inconspicuous drummer of Reckless Beat, is sick of living in the shadows of his bandmates’ success. He’ll do anything to gain the recognition he deserves. Even if it means dancing in a music video to the Reckless track that drives a knife into his broken heart whenever he hears it. The saving grace is the tempting choreographer who may be the one person able to distract him from the agony his life has become.

All she wants is the peace that comes with solitude.

Melody Jenkins knows all about fame. She knows enough to determine she doesn’t want a part of it anymore. After quitting her professional dance career, she set up a quiet studio and focused on starting a new beginning away from prying eyes. Until a sexy drummer strides into her life, making her crave something she can’t have while also pushing her to expose secrets she can’t bear to reveal.

Conflicting aspirations and one inextinguishable passion.

She needs to hide from the world she once owned. He wants to rise to the top, proving to himself and his friends that he’s always been the heartbeat of the band. Caught between what they need and what they want, Melody and Sean have to decide which is more important—their individual plans for the future or their feelings for one another.

Thanks for the great review, Valerie. I have this book but haven’t read it yet. That must change…sooner rather than later. 😉
