In The Accidental Romeo by Carol Marinelli, Harry Worthington is trying to find the right balance between his job as a full time E.R. consultant and a single dad. The issue is he’s just too irresistible–his nannies can’t help falling for him! But Harry wouldn’t have that problem with Marnie Johnson.

TARMarine Johnson is the new nurse unit manager at the Bayside Hospital and surely she is smart enough to not fall for Harry. She agrees to move in temporary to help him with child care in a strictly practical arrangement. Will a clear head, a hard heart and a closed bedroom door be enough to ward off Bayside’s inadvertent Romeo..??

The Accidental Romeo by Carol Marinelli is the second book in the Bayside Hospital Heartbreakers! miniseries and can be easily read as a standalone. The blurb of the book describes the story quite perfectly and it was really nice to get what you expected for a change. Marine was the star of the book for me, I loved how the author crafted her. She was independent, strong, relatable and it was a delight to read about her. Harry was also a well constructed character and I loved him too because he was devoted to both his children and job. When you love the characters, a story is easy to like and the MC’s had a great hand in making the story enjoyable.

The romance for the most part is slow paced but enjoyable because the characters share a great chemistry. Charlotte, Harry’s little daughter is also a delight and though sometimes I resisted her over involvement in the story, it was overall a good package for me.

Overall, The Accidental Romeo by Carol Marinelli is a well written, cute romance. If you like single dads and strong heroines then go for this one!

He’s just too irresistible!

Harry Worthington is struggling to fulfill his two roles in life–single dad and full-time E.R. consultant. The issue is he’s just too irresistible–his nannies can’t help falling for him! But Harry wouldn’t have that problem with Marnie Johnson. The nurse unit manager is too smart to fall for Bayside’s inadvertent Romeo! Agreeing to move in, temporarily, to plug his child-care gap is a strictly practical arrangement. Surely she knows him well enough to keep a clear head, a hard heart and a closed bedroom door…?

Stating that the “romance is slow paced but enjoyable” begs my question as to whether this is a positive or negative statement. I, for one, enjoy a slow buildup or a better word is to anticipate. This read is definitely on my list to purchase.

Some people like fast paced stories while some prefer them slow paced.By saying “romance is slow paced but enjoyable”,I meant that personally I generally don’t prefer slow paced romances but this book was an exception and I enjoyed it nevertheless. 🙂
