The Best Man’s Baby by Karen Booth: Forever in the spotlight, usually means that the real you runs and hides. Sometimes when you get the courage to show who the real person is you remember why you were in hiding.

Julia Keys knew that was her lot in life. She cared so much and tried so hard. Yet every time she tried to let people in, let them see who she really was she got hurt. So her image became who she was 90 percent of the time. The problem was the 10 percent.

Logan Brandt had been in the spotlight and now he was left to figure things out one way or another. The problem was he wasn’t sure how or even what there was left to do. He had to discover his purpose now though. There was just too much riding on his future.

Julia and Logan were always combustible but now there was just too much riding on their future. Would they be able to hold it together or would they boil over until there was nothing left?

Ms. Booth has given us a great story with real characters. The reality of this story is wonderful. There are tears, fears, laughter and love that shine though her words and create a wonderful world that will have you wanting to jump in and stand up for people as well as smacking some good common sense into others. No one is perfect and she shows this wonderfully while making you fall in love at the same time. Definitely pick this one up for a feel good.

*One caution though if you don’t like stories where people aren’t able to determine the father don’t pick this one up.
