REVIEW: The Cowboy SEAL by Laura Marie Altom

In The Cowboy SEAL by Laura Marie Altom, SEAL Cooper Hansen hasn’t returned home in more than a decade, since the day his father threw him out of the house and disowned him. Till this day he has not been able to forgive himself for the accident that killed his mother, and as far as he knows TCS_Yneither has his father.

Millie Hansen has been looking after the Hansen ranch and her father-in-law all by herself since the death of her husband. But being a mother, a rancher and taking care of her father-in-law is not easy and the ranch is falling into disrepair more and more. Her only hope if that Cooper will return home and help her.

What neither of them realized is that after a long time away, things would be different. Mille always cared and loved Cooper in some way, but after she started dating his brother she only saw him as a brother-in-law. But now with her husband gone and them having to work very close together to bring the ranch back into the black in order to make a profit for the family to have an easier time, feelings will start to change for them both.

Only before they can move forward and have a possible future together ahead of them, they need to put the past to rest, find the forgiveness from one another and themselves.

The Cowboy SEAL by Laura Marie Altom is a different story that kept me turning the pages till the very end. There is so much emotion and depth in it that it will keep you wondering what will happen next. Many might not like the idea of a man wanting his deceased brother’s wife, but after everything they went through and reading a little about their past, I think they both deserve a little happiness, as well as the family they both desire. Then there is the tragedy that happened in the family which tore it apart, in a way I can see why things happened, but taking the pain out on someone else was probably not the best way to get over it in my way of thinking, you may think differently than me. But in the end I loved that they were finally able to put the past behind them and found the way to forgive each other and themselves over something that was a horrible accident.

If you want a story full of depth and emotion, don’t miss The Cowboy SEAL by Laura Marie Altom.

The Road To Redemption

Navy SEAL Cooper Hansen hasn’t been home in more than a decade. He has never forgiven himself for the accident that killed his mother, and as far as he knows, neither has his family. But when his brother’s widow, Millie, needs his help to save the Hansen ranch, Cooper can’t stay away any longer.

Millie has always loved Cooper in some way—as a childhood friend, a high-school crush and then as a brother-in-law. Now that he’s back in Brewer’s Falls, she’s discovering new, unexpected feelings for him. But if Cooper keeps holding on to the pain of the past, will he ever give their future together a fighting chance?

Thanks for the great review, Yazmin. I’ve always wanted a SEAL and a cowboy mixed together so I have to read this book! 🙂
