In The Doctor She Left Behind by Scarlet Wilson, After five years of working for Doctors Without Borders, The-Doctor-She-Left-BehindNathan Banks is close to burnout. He’s ready for a fresh start, and taking a job in the stunning Whitsundays couldn’t be more perfect! That is until Nathan discovers his new colleague is his ex—Rachel Johnson!

Stranded with Nathan in an island paradise, Rachel finds her painful reasons for leaving him are increasingly difficult to hide…especially when he’s as irresistible as ever!

Could this twist of fate finally make these docs confront their past and face their future—together?

The Doctor She Left Behind by Scarlet Wilson was an amazingly well written medical romance which goes on to my keeper shelf. I am not a big fan of re-union romance but this re-union story just blew me away.

At first I thought Rachel would be difficult to like because she left Nathan without any explanation. But after knowing her reasons for leaving him, I began to respect her a lot. She was a great heroine because she had an amazing strength. Nathan was everything every woman would want in her man. He is honorable and perfect in every way. The best part about him was that although he was bitter over Rachel leaving him, he did not treat her unfairly in any way.

The romance has a bit of hate thrown in, which makes it even more interesting. Nice medical details and a reality TV show make the story even more enjoyable. The characters do have to talk and sort out everything before they get their beautiful HEA as they have eight years of confusion and bitterness between them but in the end it is all worth it.
