When Luis whisks her away to his villa in the south of France, how long will she be able to deny the temptation he poses…especially when he makes a second shocking proposition?

The Housekeeper’s Awakening by Sharon Kendrick is a well written and sweet romance set in England and France. The story line and romance is similar to Sharon Kendrick’s previous books. Luis Martinez is a typical arrogant alpha hero with many irritating characteristics. He is not the kind of hero I prefer and therefore I found him unbearable for the majority of time. I loved Carly on the other hand because she was very focused on fulfilling her goals. I loved her determination to remain independent, she didn’t let her affair with a billionaire go over her head and she continued to pursue her dream of becoming her doctor. I found Luis love declaration in the end a little insincere and sudden. Maybe that’s because I did not like him but the ending was personally not my perfect HEA. However, Luis decision to support Carly in fulfilling her dreams earned him some pointers from me in the end.

Overall, The Housekeeper’s Awakening by Sharon Kendrick is an enjoyable romance but was nothing extraordinary for me personally.
