Seduction on the sands just got a lot more hotter when the prince decides to take a wife in The Last Prince of Dahaar by Tara Pammi. Zohra’s arranged marriage with The Mad Prince, Ayaan Al Sharif is the only way to restore order in Dahaar and quash rumors about the prince’s ability to rule.

gr1Zohra does not want to give up on her independence and the only way to hold on to the same is convince Ayaan that she is everything he dosen’t want in a wife. When he is not ready to listen she refuses to sleep with him after marriage!

Ayaan may have agreed to her outrageous demand, but is this the one promise the last prince of Dahaar can’t keep?

The Last Prince of Dahaar by Tara Pammi is the first book in A Dynasty of Sand and Scandal series. It is a marriage of convenience romance between a really dark tortured hero and an reluctant heroine.

Zohra values her freedom more than anything but to save her sister, she agrees to go ahead with her marriage with Aayan. She is determined to hate him and it takes her time to remove her prejudices against him. Aayan is the most tortured hero I have ever read in a presents and he is stuck in a really dark past which refuses to leave him. They both have their own emotional issues to solve—the hero has to come out of his dark past and the heroine needs to look beyond prejudice. It appears an impossible romance at first and I wondered how the characters will look beyond their personal baggage to discover true happiness in each other. But surprisingly they stuck together and got a well deserved HEA after all their troubles.

I usually love dark tortured hero but Ayaan’s suffering was too much to bear at times. I also did not get Zohra’s reasons for hating her father’s culture so steadfastly. I liked the hot romance and the storyline attached to it as I am a big fan of Marriage of Convenience  plot but I did not connect with the characters as well as I expected too. There is also a good amount of narrative description which was not a problem for me but some readers may not be comfortable with the same.

Overall, The Last Prince of Dahaar by Tara Pammi is a well written Presents. If you like dark tortured heroes and are a fan of Marriage of Convenience trope then give this book a read.
